    摘要: Various implementations include a mixing vial system. The system includes a hypodermic syringe and a mixing vial. The mixing vial includes a vessel, a stopper, and a dislodgeable plug. The vessel includes an open end, a closed end, and a side wall. A hollow interior chamber is defined by the side wall and the closed end. The open end defines a neck. The stopper includes an open proximal end, a closed distal end, and a stopper side wall. The closed distal end and the stopper side wall define a hollow interior chamber. The stopper is positioned in a sealing relationship within the neck. The dislodgeable plug is positioned in and sealing the open proximal end of the stopper. The closed distal end of the stopper is penetrable by a needle of the hypodermic syringe to dislodge the dislodgeable plug to effect mixing of contents of the stopper and the vessel.

    摘要: A needle and hub assembly for an automatic injector and a method for making the needle and hub assembly. The needle and hub assembly comprises a cap or skirt, a forward surface of which is interposed between and reinforced by first and second engaged hub portions. A needle is received in a contiguous channel formed in the two hub portions. The method for making the assembly comprises molding the first hub portion, placing the cap over the first hub portion, inserting the needle into a channel in the first hub portion, and then overmolding or otherwise forming the second hub portion on the exterior of the cap such that it is engaged with the first hub portion. An assembly created by this “two-shot” process can be used to seal a relatively large opening, and supports the needle more effectively than a conventional assembly.

    摘要: The invention relates to an injector device for delivery of liquid from a high pressure source, and also to a method of performing such an injection. The device comprises a storage chamber 6, for the liquid or the liquid precursor components, comprising a storage barrel 16 with at least a section of substantially constant cross-section, defining a storage chamber axis, and a pressure chamber 4 comprising a pressure barrel 10 of substantially constant cross-section, defining a pressure chamber axis, for accommodation of at least one piston therein and having a front end opening 14 for ejection of the liquid. The pressure chamber being of sufficient strength to sustain the liquid pressure. The chambers are separate parts and adapted to cooperate with each other during injection so that the pressure chamber axis and the storage chamber axis substantially coincide, and that the pressure barrel and storage barrel have internal diameters sufficiently similar to allow passage of a resilient piston from the storage barrel to the pressure barrel in a sealing manner. The liquid is transferred from the storage chamber directly into the delivery chamber when the jet injection is to be performed.

The channel also has a closed configuration for blocking flow of any substance in the substance container therethrough to the injection conduit for inhibiting or preventing contact with the injection conduit prior to injection.

    摘要: Various implementations include a mixing vial for use in a cartridge syringe. The mixing vial includes a vessel, a stopper, and a dislodgeable plug. The stopper includes an open first end, a closed second end, and a stopper side wall. A hollow interior chamber is defined by the stopper side wall and the closed second end. The stopper is positioned in a sealing relationship with an inner surface of the vessel. An outer surface of the stopper side wall includes two ribs extending radially outwardly from the stopper side wall. Each of the two ribs is axially spaced apart from each other. An inner surface of the stopper side wall defines an annular groove located axially between the two ribs. The dislodgeable plug is disposed within the hollow interior chamber of the stopper such that an edge of the dislodgeable plug is disposed within the groove of the stopper.
