    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a safety needle assembly having the high safety and high operability, comprising: a hub; a cannula; a collar; a protector; and a sheath. The sheath includes an opening of housing the cannula; a cannula fixing part of locking the cannula housed in the opening; an attachment part of rotatably supporting the sheath attached to the hub or the collar; and a protrusive stopper which a user pushes by a finger to pivot the sheath thereby to house the cannula in the opening of the sheath. Herein, the stopper is arranged at a vicinity of a central portion of the sheath in a longitudinal direction at the opposite side of the aperture of the opening, or arranged at a portion closer to a distal end side than the central portion of the sheath.

    Abstract: A safety syringe assembly and a replaceable base unit are disclosed. The replaceable base unit of the present invention includes a base portion, a needle cover and a disengagement actuator. The base portion is configured to detachably connect with a syringe holder and has a through-hole structure, which is used to connect with an external needle. The needle cover's proximal end is connected with the base portion to allow the needle cover to move with respect to the base portion, enabling it to contain and cover the syringe needle. The disengagement actuator is configured on the base portion and disengages the base portion from the syringe holder in pressing mode.

    Abstract: A blood collection assembly includes a needle cannula, a hub mounted on the needle cannula, and a spring biased pivoting shield pivotably mounted to the hub and moveable about a pivot axis between a retracted position and a shielded position encompassing a distal end of the needle cannula. A needle holder is mated at a first end with the hub, and is adapted for receiving a blood collection container such as an evacuated tube through the opposing end. A retaining member is attached to the pivoting shield and is releasably engageable with the hub to maintain the pivoting shield in the retracted position against the spring bias. Insertion of a blood collection tube into the needle holder causes the retaining member to release from engagement with the hub, thereby causing the pivoting shield to move toward the shielded position due to the spring bias.
