    摘要： A luminous ball is provided, including an internal sphere in which at least one receiving space is disposed; a light-emitting device disposed in the receiving space; at least one covering wrapping an external circumferential surface of the internal sphere; at least one seam formed on an edge of the covering; a plurality of thread apertures disposed in pairs at two sides of the at least one seam; at least one thread penetrating the plurality of thread apertures to stitch the edge of the covering between the two sides of the at least one seam; wherein the internal sphere is a transparent ball, a light generated by the light-emitting device penetrates the internal sphere through the receiving space, and is visible through the at least one seam and the plurality of the thread apertures distributed on the covering.

    摘要： The invention relates to a ball comprising: (a) a spherical core; (b) a first flexible cover member formed approximately in the shape of a figure 8, and having the peripheral edge tapered and folded under and a series of thread holes penetrating through the cover member adjacent the folded under edge; (c) a second flexible cover member formed approximately in the shape of a figure 8 and having the peripheral edge tapered and folded under and a series of thread holes penetrating through the cover member adjacent the folded-under edge; and (d) a first thread and a second thread which, when the first and second cover members are placed in an intersecting mating pattern over the spherical core, penetrate in alternating intersecting pattern the thread holes in the areas adjacent the intersecting folded-under edges of the first and second cover members, to thereby completely enfold and cover the spherical core and create a ball which has raised areas around the adjacent intersection of the first and second cover members.

The core is surrounded by a cover having a specific gravity of about 1.2, a thickness from about 0.035 inches to 0.060 inches and a hardness from about 78 to 90 on the Shore A scale. The cover is formed from a vinyl resin, a phthalate compound, stabilizers and a titanium dioxide dispersion.

    摘要： A ball is disclosed formed with a spherical core of polyurethane foam covered with a thin winding of cotton yarn and with a hand stitched outer cover; the ball is formed in a mold by providing a polymeric isocyanate with a mixture of water and a polyol crosslinking catalyst with the ratio between the isocyanate and the mixture of the catalyst and the water being variable to provide a ball of desired resilience and density so that the ball formed by the method can duplicate such characteristics as found in conventional baseballs and softballs.
