    摘要: A method for reducing pollution in a cement kiln environment and a system for treating cement kiln exhaust gas are provided. The method includes the steps of: treating a cement kiln exhaust gas stream with a treating fluid, such as a water soluble alkaline-earth metal sulfide. In one application, the treating fluid is injected by spraying droplets into the cement kiln exhaust gas stream. A system for treating cement kiln exhaust gas includes a reagent containing a water soluble alkaline-earth metal sulfide in water, and a nozzle to spray the reagent into the cement kiln exhaust gas stream.

    摘要: A waste gas is contacted with a mercury removal agent to remove mercury and a flue gas conditioning agent to alter a resistivity and/or cohesivity of particulates. The flue gas conditioning agent can be substantially free of SO3 and/or comprise more than about 25 wt. % SO3, and/or the mercury removal agent can be substantially unaffected by the flue gas conditioning agent. An amount of mercury removed from the waste gas in the presence of the flue gas conditioning agent can be the same or more than that removed from the waste gas in the absence of the flue gas conditioning agent. An amount of the acid gas removed, by an acid gas removal agent, from the waste gas in the presence of the flue gas conditioning agent can be the same or more than that removed from the waste gas in the absence of the flue gas conditioning agent.

    摘要: A method is illustrated and described for reducing unwanted substances by injecting a reactant into a flue gas of a steam generator. In order that the reactant can also be used in larger steam generators and/or combustion chambers, a method is proposed, in which the reactant is injected into the combustion chamber of the steam generator via a reactant opening of a multi-component nozzle, in which an enveloping medium is injected into the combustion chamber through at least one enveloping medium opening arranged outside the reactant opening, and in which the enveloping medium at least partly envelops the reactant in the combustion chamber and in this way at least partly shields the reactant from the flue gas.
