    摘要： A process for preparing a carboxylated cellulose ion exchange material which comprises heating a mixture of cellulose and citric, isocitric or aconitic acid at a temperature of from about 100.degree. to 160.degree. C. while removing water, and then treating the product with aqueous alkali at a pH of 8 to 11 to hydrolyze cross-linked acid residues; carboxylated cellulose ion exchange materials prepared by the process and their use in removing heavy-metal ions from aqueous solutions such as in industrial effluent treatment and precious metal recovery.

    摘要： The invention relates to a novel water insoluble hydroxyalkylated cross-linked regenerated cellulose and a method for its preparation. The product is characterized by having outstanding swelling characteristics and high chemical reactivity. A method of preparing the product using near stoichiometric proportions of reagents is described. Use of the product directly in gel chromatography and as an intermediate in the preparation of ion exchangers is described.

    摘要： Ion exchanges on cellulose basis containing groups of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents a functional group and n is zero or 1 are prepared, when n is zero, by reacting cellulose or a cellulose-like compound with a .beta.-hydroxyethylsulfonyl derivative and, when n is 1, by preparing a cellulose derivative from cellulose and an amino derivative of .beta.-hydroxyethylsulfone, diazotizing the cellulose derivative and introducing R-H functional groups by coupling of ligands capable of being coupled.
