摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to payment cards and methods for making payment cards. In one embodiment, a card comprises a first layer and a second layer adjacent to the first layer. The second layer comprises a plurality of particles comprising metal, and the plurality of particles comprise at least about 15 volume % of the second layer. In another embodiment, a mixture is prepared comprising polymer and a plurality of particles comprising metal. The plurality of particles comprise at least about 15 volume % of the mixture. The mixture is pressed and an outer layer is applied. The mixture and outer layer are then cut to form the card.

摘要: The present invention relates to a composition for producing a coating having antifouling properties on a component of a turbomachine. The composition comprises a binder comprising at least one silicon-organic constituent, ceramic particles and a solvent, the ceramic particles comprising at least silicon dioxide and the silicon-organic constituent comprising at least alkoxysilane. In addition, the present invention relates to a process for producing a coating using such a composition and also a correspondingly produced coating and a component provided therewith.

摘要: A process for the production of multi-layer coatings comprising the successive steps: 1) applying an 8 to 20 μm thick coating layer from an aqueous coating composition A onto a substrate provided with an EDC primer, 2) applying a 5 to 15 μm thick base coat layer from an aqueous coating composition B onto the previously applied coating layer, 3) applying a clear coat layer onto the base coat layer, 4) jointly curing the three coating layers, wherein coating compositions A and B being different from each other and wherein the coating composition A contains at least one metal platelet pigment having a thickness from 10 to 100 nm in a proportion corresponding to a pigment/resin solids ratio by weight from 0.06:1 to 0.2:1.

摘要: A method of coating an object includes applying a heterogeneous mixture of polymeric powder and metal powder to a surface of an object and heating the surface for a period of time sufficient to cause the polymeric powder to cure and form a coating on the surface. The cured polymeric coating may then be subjected to one or more finishing operations. The resulting coating contains a substantially equal distribution of metal powder throughout a thickness thereof. The powder mixture may adhere to adhesive material applied to one or more surfaces of an object. The powder mixture may adhere to one or more heated surfaces of an object.
