    摘要: Systems and methods for producing dowel baskets from dowel side frames and transverse dowel rods. The dowel side frames are introduced at a top location of the production system, where there is initially introduced a first dowel rod and subsequently, with successive stepwise advancements, the remaining dowel rods are introduced. The dowel side frames with the dowel rods advance on guides that may rotate the dowel side frames relative to the axes of the longitudinal wires so as to impart a desired inclination angle φ relative to the rods. In following, with continuous stepwise advancements, the dowel rods are alternately welded, each to one of the opposed dowel side frames. Transverse wires are welded on the longitudinal wires to impart rigidity to the dowel basket. Subsequently, mass-produced dowel baskets may be stacked in groups.

    摘要: Coiled tubing optimized for long, horizontal completions is provided. The tubing comprises a body portion; at least two tapered portions, each tapered portion defining distal ends spaced apart from one another; and at least one bias weld portion. In some embodiments, the tapered portions are located between the body portion and the bias weld. The tubing has a weld thickness in the bias weld portion(s), a body thickness in the body portion, and a taper thickness in the tapered portions; generally, the thickness of the bias weld portion is greater than the body portion thickness. The wall thickness transitions from one end of each tapered portion to the other end of the same tapered portion.

    摘要: An adjustable cable fitting for a thru-arm cable of a robotic welding torch includes a female member formed of an elongated tubular body having a forward end, a rear end, and a through hole extending axially from the forward end to the rear end. The forward end includes a nose portion for connection to a welding cable. A male member is cooperable with the female member in a telescoping manner. The male member includes a shaft received in the through hole of the female member, a receiver connected to the shaft for receiving a power pin, and a through hole extending axially through the shaft and receiver. A nut is disposed on the shaft for locking a position of the shaft relative to the female member. Adjustment of a disposition of the male member relative to the female member varies an effective length of the power cable.
