摘要: A method for manufacturing a roll for rolling flat metal products having a barrel section coated with a wear-resistant layer and journals formed thereon, and a main body blank which includes a barrel section and two blank journal sections The barrel section is encased with a jacket which is connected, with its edge regions associated with the blank journal sections, in a sealed manner, to the associated end faces of the blank journal sections, and limits a cavity surrounding the barrel section. The cavity is filled with an alloy powder. The wear-resistant layer coating of the barrel section, which forms a substance-to-substance bond with said barrel section, is then formed from said alloy powder through hot isostatic pressing. The jacket is then removed from the barrel section, the blank journal sections are formed into the journals and the barrel section and the journals are finished.

摘要: A method of friction welding a head part to a skirt part of a piston having a hollow cooling duct in which the internal connection surface of the first part to be welded is reciprocally arranged with an internal connection surface of the second part to be friction welded, so that they form a unsymmetrical contact area, so that the resulting weld of the first and the second parts produces a weld bead that is located predominantly outside of the hollow cooling duct. The unsymmetrical contact area can be formed by chamfered, angled edge surfaces that produce, for example, a wedge-shaped space, or partially matched, inter-fitting surfaces that remain out of contact and produce a gap at sides facing the hollow space.

摘要: An ignition source system for an exothermic reaction mold device for welding conductors. The system includes a crucible in a block with an open top so that the crucible receives an exothermic weld material. The conductors to be welded exothermically are placed in the weld cavity of the mold. A lid covers the open top wherein the lid has an opening therethrough. An electronic thermal igniter assembly has an ignition component receivable through the opening in the lid so that the exothermic weld material may be ignited by the electronic thermal igniter assembly. The igniter plug rests on top of the lid and the ignition body is retained in a recess within the igniter plug.

摘要: On production of a component, two primary pieces must often be fixed together to give one piece. In order to achieve the above, it is important that the two primary pieces are oriented in a particular manner during the fixing process, which provides some difficulties. According to the invention, a plug body is fixed to the component by a mounting, whereby the position of the plug body relative to the component remains unchanged during a fixing process.
