    摘要: A method of preparing a plurality of workpieces for concurrent cutting using a stone cutting machine is disclosed. Each workpiece can include a stone slab that has two parallel faces and one or more edges, a substrate that is bonded to a first face, and a substrate that is bonded to a second face of the stone slab. The stone cutting machine can have a plurality of stone cutting elements and it can be configured to concurrently create a plurality of stone cuts. The method can include: providing a plurality of workpieces; and positioning the plurality of workpieces by placing a set of shims between adjacent pairs of workpieces. The set of shims can be placed to compensate for variations in workpiece thickness and/or to position each of the workpieces with one edge of each stone slab in relative alignment with one of the stone cutting elements.

    摘要: In a stone cutting machine having a cutting chain rotated by a motor and a separate power feed for the machine, the power consumption of the drive motor is monitored. When the power consumption falls below a minimum, a control signal is generated to increase the feed, and when the power consumption exceeds a fixed maximum, a control signal is generated to decrease the feed. In generating the control signal, the power consumption is scanned only over a pre-determined period, which for power consumption beneath the minimum is approximately twice as long as for the power consumption above the maximum.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for the detection of malfunctions, in particular the detection of breakage of a wire in a wire sawing device. The process consists in applying an alternating signal to the layer of wires (4) of the sawing device and measuring the variations of voltage or current at the terminals of the layer of wires. In a modification, there are measured variations of voltage induced by the layer of wires forming a primary circuit in an antenna (9) forming the secondary circuit of a resonant system. The invention also has for its object the device for practicing the process of the invention.
