摘要： A method of preparing a plurality of workpieces for concurrent cutting using a stone cutting machine is disclosed. Each workpiece can include a stone slab that has two parallel faces and one or more edges, a substrate that is bonded to a first face, and a substrate that is bonded to a second face of the stone slab. The stone cutting machine can have a plurality of stone cutting elements and it can be configured to concurrently create a plurality of stone cuts. The method can include: providing a plurality of workpieces; and positioning the plurality of workpieces by placing a set of shims between adjacent pairs of workpieces. The set of shims can be placed to compensate for variations in workpiece thickness and/or to position each of the workpieces with one edge of each stone slab in relative alignment with one of the stone cutting elements.

摘要： In a stone cutting machine having a cutting chain rotated by a motor and a separate power feed for the machine, the power consumption of the drive motor is monitored. When the power consumption falls below a minimum, a control signal is generated to increase the feed, and when the power consumption exceeds a fixed maximum, a control signal is generated to decrease the feed. In generating the control signal, the power consumption is scanned only over a pre-determined period, which for power consumption beneath the minimum is approximately twice as long as for the power consumption above the maximum.

The movement of the saw head is controlled at the end points such that a boundary of the wall saw facing the end point coincides with the end point after the pivoting movement of the saw arm. In the case of a free end point, the boundary of the wall saw is formed by an upper exit point of the saw blade. In the case of an obstacle, the boundary of the wall saw is formed by the saw blade edge of the saw blade if the processing occurs without the blade guard or by the blade guard edge of the blade guard if the processing occurs with the blade guard.

摘要： A method for controlling a wall system when creating a separating cut in a workpiece between a first and a second end point is disclosed. The wall saw system includes a wall saw having a saw head, a pivotable saw arm, a saw blade and a blade guard. The separating cut is carried out in a plurality of main cuts. The pivoting movement of the saw arm in a main cutting angle is carried out in at least two steps with at least one intermediate angle, where a free cut of the saw blade is carried out in the respective intermediate angle between the pivoting movements of the saw arm.

摘要： A lightweight artificial stone system comprises a plurality of artificial stones, each of the artificial stones formed of at least some portion of cement, expanded glass, and styrene, the lightweight artificial stones having a density in the range of between about 30 and 70 pounds per cubic foot, each of the stones having six sides and including a first height dimension and a second width dimension, each of the height and width dimensions having a length unit being substantially a multiple of two, each of the stones having four ninety degrees corners and four of the six sides having a smooth surface to provide tight, cement-free seams between adjacent stones, the tight, cement-free seams inhibiting viewing of structure behind said plurality of artificial stones, each of the stones being of such a light weight so as to be held in position in the system by a lath-less and cement-free adhesive.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for the detection of malfunctions, in particular the detection of breakage of a wire in a wire sawing device. The process consists in applying an alternating signal to the layer of wires (4) of the sawing device and measuring the variations of voltage or current at the terminals of the layer of wires. In a modification, there are measured variations of voltage induced by the layer of wires forming a primary circuit in an antenna (9) forming the secondary circuit of a resonant system. The invention also has for its object the device for practicing the process of the invention.
