摘要： A low-pressure mold valve assembly includes a coupler to removably attach a mix head to a mold assembly in an assembly line environment. A first piston which is rectilinear in cross section is movable within the first flow passage along a first axis by an actuator. A second piston is movable along a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis by a second actuator. After injection is complete, the second piston seals a mix chamber of the mix head while remnants of the matrix that remain in a flow passage are driven into the first flow passage by the piston. The first piston is then driven toward the mold port such that matrix remnants are further driven into the mold cavity. The coupler is thus cleared of remnants without flushing.

摘要： An apparatus for making a golf ball is disclosed. The apparatus is a molding assembly for making a golf ball which includes a mold body that defines a molding cavity. The molding cavity is adapted to accommodate and preferably retain a golf ball core during a molding operation of one or more layers about the core. The molding assembly includes at least one material flow inlet, at least one material flow channel extending between and providing fluid communication with a material flow inlet and the molding cavity. At least one portion of the material flow channel has a plurality of bends and at least one branching intersection adapted to promote turbulence in a liquid flowing therethrough. A method of making a golf ball is also disclosed. A golf ball made from the disclosed molding apparatus and/or process is also disclosed.

摘要： A mixing valve is located at the opening of a mold cavity to control the flow of a fast setting mixture into the mold and to mix the ingredients forming the mixture immediately prior to dispensing into the mold. The valve includes a plurality of mixing elements on a mixing head which rotates about its own axis within the valve housing and which cooperates with the housing to define a mixing chamber receiving the ingredients. When the valve is open, the plurality of mixing elements supported from the head in the mixing chamber are rotated with the head to mix the ingredients into the fast setting mixture. The head also reciprocates along its axis to open and close the valve and completely fills the chamber to eject the mixed ingredients when the valve is closed.

As the sulzer mixer (160) is superior in dividing the flow, the additive is uniformly dispersed in a dope pipe (152). Thereafter, the additive passes through the static mixer (170). As the static mixer (170) is superior in reversing the flow, the additive and the primary dope are further stirred and kneaded. The inline mixing device (53) uses the two different kinds of mixers for effectively mixing the additive and the dope while taking advantages of each mixer.
