    摘要: In injection molding, a mold forms a wall member, which defines a cavity, by bringing together two mold halves. The cavity wall is formed by a specially machined cavity plate having built-in support columns, fins and ejector pins columns. The plate forms a passageway and in-out flow chambers on the opposite side from the cavity surface which completely surrounds the cavity where coolant or heating circulating carrier flows at high rates. The resulting flow of coolant/heating carrier at high rates can be controlled by special positioning of the flow chambers and creates added turbulence. The built-in support columns, fins and ejector pins also dramatically increase the area of contact of the flow carrier with the cavity plate. The design incorporates built-in support columns and fins which make possible a thinner cavity surface plate by adding strength and structural support to the cavity area. The exact arrangement and geometry of the built-in support columns, fins, and flow chamber depend on the part design and can be adjusted depending on the application to increase the uniformity and heat transfer rates. The plate design can be adapted to movable cores and stationary mold cavity cores.

A fluid inlet pipe is located axially of the inner surface in spaced relationship thereto having one end thereof adapted to be connected to a source of coolant and including a second end thereon in communication with a plurality of circumferentially spaced passages formed between each of the longitudinally directed ribs and wherein each of the passages returns flow to an elongated annular passage between the fluid inlet pipe and the inner surface.

    摘要: If the surface of metallic mold should not be highly transcribed to the surface of product in injection molding the plastic products, the transcription defects such as weld, shrinkage, etc. are caused to the surface of product. Further, if the resin should be exposed to the surface of high temperature metallic mold more than necessary during the molding, the filler and the like of glass and so forth are contained into the resin, and in this case, they are left over on the surface of metallic mold, resulting in the transcription defect. These problems can be solved by heating the surface temperature of metallic mold higher than the glass transfer temperature of resin if the resin is non-crystal and higher than the fusion point temperature if the resin crystal, with the temperature raising speed of more than 2° C. every second, maintaining this temperature during the resin charging, and by cooling at the lowering speed of more than 2° C. every second after the completion of charging. This temperature control shall be conducted with the feed back control while detecting the surface temperature of metallic mold by the temperature detection sensor mounted at the position close to the surface of metallic mold.

A process for making such a tool or mould comprises the following steps: separating the tool or the mould in the planes of the channels to be produced; producing the channels in accordance with the desired cycle in at least one separating surface of the opened tool or mould by milling or the like; and joining the separated parts of the tool or mould together.
