摘要： A system is disclosed for a boat trailer which prevents water from entering the trailer's axle housing when the axle housing is submerged in water during loading or unloading of a boat from the trailer. The system includes a quantity of lubricating oil maintained in the axle housing by seals interposed between the trailers wheel axle and the axle housing and an elongated, hollow tubular member having one end in communication with said lubricating oil and the other end vented to the atmosphere when the axle housing is submerged.

摘要： The present invention concerns a wheel set for rail vehicles, consisting of an axle 2 and at least two wheels 4, the axle 2 being tubular. Each of the wheels 4 can be arranged on a support tube 3, each support tube 3 being postioned, pushed from one end of the tubular axle 2, over the latter in such a manner that the wheel spacing corresponds to a standard wheel gauge. For better aerodynamics of the wheel set, the two support tubes 3 can furthermore be covered by a sleeve 7, such sleeve 7 being preferably made of plastic or light metal.

摘要： An assembly maintenance tube maintains a live spindle mounted within a bore of a vehicle mounting component. The maintenance tube has a central aperture for receiving in a spaced relationship a drivable axle. The axle is drivingly connected to the live spindle in a manner which allows axial movement of the axle relative to the spindle to relieve stress in the drive train which drives the axle.

摘要： A wheel set for rails has a divided axle and two wheels rigidly attached tohe respective axle section. The axle sections are interconnected in a force transmitting manner by a clutch for adjusting a differential r.p.m. between the two axle sections. However, the clutch components also permit a relative rotation when the clutch is not energized. The clutch has an inner clutch component and an outer clutch component forming a work gap (7.4) between the clutch components. The work gap extends concentrically to the rotational axis of the shaft and is filled with a magnetizable powder for engaging and disengaging the clutch components which are so mounted to the respective axle section that an axial displacement of the clutch components relative to each other is prevented.

摘要： Wheel and axle assembly for small vehicles such as riding lawnmowers including a frame and an engine and transmission mounted upon the frame, the assembly comprising an axle having opposite first and second ends mounted upon the frame for rotation and drivingly connected to the output of the transmission. First and second wheels are provided for mounting, respectively, on the first and second axle ends. The first wheel is rigidly connected to the first axle end for rotation therewith such as by pinning or by key. A torque-limited driving connection is provided between the second wheel and the second axle end, the torque-limited driving connection permitting relative rotation between the second wheel and axle when a predetermined torque level is exceeded. This torque-limited device may include a frictional drive connection between the second wheel and the axle.
