摘要: The invention relates to a leaf spring arrangement having a leaf spring made of a fibre-composite material and at least one bearing eye holder, wherein at least one end of the leaf spring is accommodated in a retaining element of the at least one bearing eye holder in a form-fitting manner in a longitudinal direction of the leaf spring, wherein the leaf spring has a length and a central longitudinal plane, wherein the leaf spring has, along its length, perpendicularly to the central longitudinal plane, a cross section in which both a depth and a height are constant along the entire length of the at least one end of the leaf spring, wherein the at least one end of the leaf spring is formed in an undulating manner, wherein the retaining element of the at least one bearing eye holder has a receptacle with a matching undulating shape, wherein the at least one end of the leaf spring has at least one undulation, wherein the receptacle of the at least one bearing eye holder is configured to accommodate the at least one undulation of the leaf spring. The leaf spring arrangement is distinguished by the fact that the at least one end of the leaf spring has at least two undulations, wherein the receptacle of the at least one bearing eye holder is configured to accommodate the at least two undulations of the leaf spring in a form-fitting manner.

摘要: A method and apparatus for lowering the height of a wheeled vehicle for cargo height constraints during transportation. The rear leaf spring shackle on each side of the vehicle is connected to a sliding frame mount. In the transport configuration, fasteners are removed from the sliding frame mount, and the mount slides forward, rotating the rear leaf spring shackle from a near vertical to a near horizontal position, effectively lowering the height of the vehicle. To return the vehicle to the ride configuration, a screw jack member is attached to the sliding frame mount and a rear attachment point on the vehicle, pulling the sliding frame mount back, aligning attachment points of the mount with the frame member in the original position. The fasteners are reinstalled to lock the sliding frame mount into the ride configuration.

摘要: An equalizer device for a suspension system of a vehicle having a tandem axle has an equalizer body adapted to cooperate with springs of a suspension system. A damping device has a first end that is pivotably mounted in a fixed location relative to the equalizer body and a second end that is pivotably mounted to the vehicle frame. The equalizer body is adaptable to pivoting to transfer a portion of an additional load carried on a forward axle through springs mounted thereon to springs of a rearward axle, thereby substantially equalizing load between the forward axle and the rearward axle. The damping device is adaptable to pivoting in response to pivoting of the equalizer body and dampens movement of the equalizer body when the equalizer body is pivoting to transfer the additional load.

摘要: A bushing for use in a vehicle leaf-spring suspension system, the bushing including a cylindrical sleeve including an internal passageway extending from first to second ends of the sleeve, the sleeve dimensioned to receive a shackle bolt therethrough; an elastomeric member at least substantially surrounding and extending radially outwardly from an exterior circumferential surface of the sleeve, and the elastomeric member having a pair of spaced-apart, circumferential channels positioned between the first and second ends of the sleeve, the channels dividing the elastomeric member into three radially-extending portions, one of which radially-extending portions is intermediate the other radially-extending portions; a rigid retainer ring positioned over the intermediate one of the radially-extending portions, the retainer ring having spaced-apart sidewalls extending into the circumferential channels so as to capture the intermediate one of the radially-extending portions therebetween; lubricant disposed between the retainer ring and the elastomeric member; and a housing surrounding an exterior circumferential surface of the elastomeric member and the retainer ring.

摘要: A suspension for a front double-axle vehicle is provided in which when an axial load is input from either a first front axle or a second front axle, the axial load is transmitted and dispersed to the other axle. The suspension includes an intermediate bracket that is disposed between a front leaf spring coupled to the first front axle and a rear leaf spring coupled to the second front axle. A front shackle is rotatably coupled at a first end thereof to a rear end of the front leaf spring. Additionally, a connector is rotatably coupled at a first end thereof to a second end of the front shackle and at a second end thereof to a front eye end of the rear leaf spring, and is rotatably coupled to the intermediate bracket at an intermediate portion thereof between the first and second ends.

摘要: A vehicle suspension system of the MacPherson type includes a pair of wheel supports, and two shock absorbers each having a body bolted to a corresponding wheel support with a top end connected to structure of the vehicle. A leaf spring is set transverse to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and has a central portion connected to the vehicle structure, and two ends connected to the respective wheel supports. The leaf spring is made of a single piece having opposite ends each having a forked shape, with two prongs made of a single piece with the leaf spring, wherein each prong is connected separately to the corresponding wheel support. The suspension system does not include other connection elements between each wheel support and the vehicle structure so that suspension components can be assembled on the leaf spring prior to installation on the vehicle structure.
