The controller may be configured to recognize, based on the image obtained via the camera, a hand gesture of the occupant, determine, based on the hand gesture, a menu item, of the plurality of menu items on the menu screen, pointed to by the occupant, and execute, based on the voice uttered by the occupant, a command corresponding to the pointed menu item.

Responsive to determining that the intent of the autonomous vehicle should be communicated to the passenger of the autonomous vehicle, a graphical interface indicating the intent of the autonomous vehicle can be generated and provided for display for viewing by the passenger.

At least one relevant segment which is relevant for the journey starting from the actual position of the vehicle is determined from the plurality of segments. The relevant segment in the display trajectory is highlighted on the display unit relative to one or more other segments of the plurality of segments.

The position of the sensor extraction area is shiftable and/or its size variable.
