The method includes: determining the blind spot of a vehicle during travel; identifying a traffic participant in the blind spot; dividing the blind spot to obtain multiple warning regions, where the multiple warning regions have different hazard levels; determining the warning region in which the traffic participant is located among the multiple warning regions; and performing a warning corresponding to the hazard level of the warning region where the traffic participant is located.

Abstract: An alert arrangement is disclosed which includes a display member, a light member, a motor or solenoid and a gear system. The display member further includes a display surface thereon. The motor or solenoid is connected to the gear system and the motor or solenoid activates the gear system to move the display member between a first storage position and a second position. While in the first storage position, the display surface is not visible to a driver. When the display surface is in the second position, the display surface is visible to the driver and the light member is directed toward the display surface. A steering wheel arrangement is also disclosed that employs the alert arrangement.

Abstract: An embodiment of a smart notification device for a vehicle configured for autonomous driving, includes an occupant recognition unit configured to sense occupant state information of an occupant in the vehicle, a vehicle recognition unit configured to sense vehicle state information and driving information of the vehicle, a memory storing code, and a processor configured to access the memory and execute the code. The code can include instructions for the processor to collect the occupant state information, the vehicle state information, and the driving information, set a risk of collision based on the collected information, determine the set risk of collision based on a preset risk level, and generate a risk object corresponding the risk of collision. The device of an embodiment includes an augmented reality graphics system configured to project the risk object onto a glass of the vehicle based on a determination result obtained by the determining.

Abstract: Notifying a driver of a number of hydraulic pressure support events. In one example, a system includes a parking brake assembly; a human-machine interface; and a parking brake electronic processor configured to generate a command to apply one or more braking components of the parking brake assembly to at least one wheel of the vehicle and generate a request for additional hydraulic pressure support. The system also includes a host electronic processor configured to receive the request for additional hydraulic pressure support; generate a command to build extra hydraulic pressure; and provide the command to the pump motor. The host electronic processor is also configured to increment a counter indicating a number of hydraulic pressure support events performed; compare the counter to a threshold value; and provide an alert to the driver via the human-machine interface when the counter exceeds the threshold value.

Abstract: A wheel alignment detection system for a vehicle includes a plurality of sensors and a controller. Each of the plurality of sensors is configured to generate a signal. The controller is in communication with the plurality of sensors and is configured to: detect an external force exerted on the vehicle based on the signal from at least one of the plurality of sensors; determine whether the external force exerted on the vehicle has a magnitude that is between a first predetermined value and a second predetermined value; and command the vehicle to provide an alert in response to determining that the magnitude of the external force exerted on the vehicle is between the first predetermined value and the second predetermined value, wherein the alert is indicative that a wheel alignment check should be performed.

Abstract: An agricultural work vehicle for operating in a field includes a chassis, a cab mounted to the chassis for an operator to control the work vehicle, a controller for controlling operation of the work vehicle, a lighting system of the work vehicle comprising at least one array field light, and a light control module disposed in electrical communication with the controller. The light control module operably controls the at least one array field light. The controller transmits a signal to the light control module indicative of information about the work vehicle. The at least one array field light projects the information onto the field at a location visible to the operator while operating the work vehicle.
