Abstract: A head-up display device that is configured to allow a driver to intuitively recognize a plurality of objects sequentially along a travel route of a vehicle while projecting a video onto an image forming plane that has a length in the vertical direction shorter than a length in the horizontal direction. An optical processor of the head-up display device obtains from a controller a first image signal based on the nearest road sign information and a second image signal based on the following road sign information along the travel route. The optical processor causes line segment objects as well as information objects generated from the first image signal and the second image signal, respectively, to be displayed on an image forming plane.

The optical control device includes a holding portion, an actuator, an angle detection unit, and a control unit. The angle detection unit is provided at a position outside an outer shape of the actuator in an actuator holder on which the actuator is placed, and detects a rotation angle of the reflecting member. The control unit drives the actuator based on the angle detected by the angle detection unit, and controls the rotation angle of the reflecting member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device comprising: a communication unit for communicating with a cloud server; an interface unit for obtaining an image of the periphery of a vehicle by means of a camera, and receiving sensing information collected from at least one sensor; an MR module for rendering MR information, comprising a virtual object, on the basis of the sensing information and map information received from the cloud server; and a processor extracting an image, corresponding to a lateral surface of a building around the vehicle, from the obtained image, generating a texture image corresponding to the lateral surface of the building from the extracted image and transmitting same to the cloud server, receiving, from the cloud server, map information comprising models of buildings to which building textures on the basis of texture images are mapped, and displaying MR information rendered on the basis of the map information on a display provided in the vehicle.

Abstract: A computing device may implement a method for optimizing data display placement within display units. The method includes obtaining dimensions of an available display area within a display unit, and determining an irregular shape representative of the available display area based on the dimensions. The method further includes generating a second shape that is representative of a data display, wherein the second shape is smaller than the irregular shape, and translating the second shape within the irregular shape until the second shape is at a location within the irregular shape. All edges of the second shape are contained within the irregular shape at the location. The method further includes rendering the data display at the location within the available display area.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods to communicate intent of an autonomous vehicle. In particular, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can receive, from an autonomy computing system of an autonomous vehicle, data indicating an intent of the autonomous vehicle to perform a driving maneuver. It can be determined that the intent of the autonomous vehicle should be communicated to a passenger of the autonomous vehicle. Responsive to determining that the intent of the autonomous vehicle should be communicated to the passenger of the autonomous vehicle, a graphical interface indicating the intent of the autonomous vehicle can be generated and provided for display for viewing by the passenger.
