摘要: A vehicle turn-over determination apparatus includes a turn-over sensor, a memory, a determination processor, and a road-surface detector. The turn-over sensor detects a value of a turn-over angle or a turn-over velocity of a vehicle. The determination processor performs the determination of the turn-over of the vehicle on the basis of the value detected by the turn-over sensor and the determination-threshold information held in the memory. The road-surface detector detects a road surface that is present in a traveling direction of the vehicle. The determination processor varies the determination-threshold information acquired from the memory in accordance with an inclination of the road surface detected by the road-surface detector, and thereby generates adjusted-threshold information adjusted in accordance with the inclination of the road surface. The determination processor compares the adjusted-threshold information and the detected value with each other, and thereby perform the determination of the turn-over of the vehicle.

摘要: According to embodiments of the invention, systems, methods and devices are directed to a shopping cart with safety features which prevent or reduce the risk of injury caused to those using the cart as well as those in the vicinity of the shopping cart. A wheelbase of the shopping cart may have a set of wheels. Each wheel may have an airbag stored therein. The airbag may be deployable from any one of the wheels such the wheel is engulfed, fully or partially, within the inflated airbag. A pressure sensor may be attached to each of the wheels. The pressure sensor may constantly monitor the force being exerted in the wheel in order to identify moments when the traction may be comprised or when the cart may be at risk of toppling over. A speed or velocity sensor is attached to the wheelbase to monitor and detect for excessive speeds. The airbags may be inflatable by one or more compressed air or compressed gas cylinders or vessels.

摘要: A method is for determining a geometric vehicle inclination α of a motor vehicle, where an acceleration signal of at least one acceleration sensor is used and a speed gradient dv/dt is determined from a measured vehicle speed v, where a) in the case of a moving or standing vehicle, an acceleration value aS is derived from a force acting on the acceleration sensor, b) a corrected acceleration value akorr is determined as a function of the speed gradient dv/dt, and c) the current vehicle inclination α is directly deduced from the corrected acceleration value akorr. In addition, a device for implementing a method to determine a geometric vehicle inclination α of a motor vehicle, the device includes a speed-measuring device and at least one acceleration sensor, a programmable and readable microcontroller being provided, with the aid of which the current vehicle inclination a may be calculated from the values of the speed-measuring device and the acceleration sensor at a vehicle speed v of the vehicle greater than or equal to zero, and directly transmitted to at least one control unit.

摘要: Method for the triggering of a safety device in a motor vehicle in a rollover process, wherein the rotation rate signals ω generated by a rotation rate sensor are evaluated for the recognition of the rollover process of the motor vehicle about one of its axes. In that regard, predominantly roll bars, side airbags, and belt tensioners come into consideration as safety devices. The object of the invention consists in presenting a method for the triggering of a safety device, without, however, simultaneously suffering an impairment of the safe and reliable recognizing of a tip-over. According to the invention, low-pass filtered rotation rate signals are compared with an adjustable threshold value, whereby this threshold value is generated dependent on the integrated rotation rate signal. In that regard, the low-pass filtering occurs with a limit frequency, with which the signal components of the rotation rate signal characteristic for a rollover process remain unfiltered.

摘要: A method for determining an absolute rotational angle of an object that is rotating about an approximately horizontal rotational axis, includes steps of: determining a change in a rotational angle of the object occurring during a time interval; determining an acceleration component acting in a direction of a vertical axis of the object; determining a change, occurring during the time interval, in the acceleration component acting in the direction of the vertical axis of the object; and calculating the absolute rotational angle of the object from the change in the rotational angle and the change in the acceleration component acting in the direction of the vertical axis of the object. A device constructed to perform the method does not necessarily require expensive, high-stability acceleration sensors. Sensors of a simple design can be used instead.
