摘要: In a railway-car total heat exchange ventilation system for railway-car air-conditioning ventilation equipment, a value of heat load outside the car, calculated on the basis of the difference between the external air temperature detected by the car-exterior temperature detection sensor and the temperature inside the car detected by the car-interior temperature detection sensor, is compared with a value of heat load inside the car, calculated by multiplying the amount of average heat generation per passenger by the current number of people on board inside the car calculated from the passenger weight detected by the passenger weight detection device. A variation in a future temperature inside the car is predicted, and switching between a heat exchange operation of the heat exchanger and a normal operation is carried out on the basis of the predicted result, so that the comfort inside the car is maintained.

摘要: A public transit vehicle has a vehicle body having a roof defining an interior ceiling surface, two side walls each extending longitudinally of the vehicle including an upper side wall portion connecting to the roof and a row of windows underneath the upper portion, a central aisle and two rows of seats each on a respective side of the aisle and along the side wall at the windows. Stanchions for supporting passengers while standing are shaped so that they curve upwardly and outwardly of the aisle to a wider spacing at the ceiling than at the seats. Between two stanchion mounting rails is provided a central ceiling panel dropped from the roof to define an air supply duct longitudinally along the aisle above the passengers. This is supplied with ventilation air by a roof mounted system and communicates by individual sub-ducts with a series of fans in the side walls. A flap valve at the fan can be operated to cause heated air when required to be supplied through the main side wall posts to bottom discharge openings at the bottom interior panels or to cause cooled air to be supplied to a duct along the top of the windows.

摘要: The invention is directed to a venting device for admitting air into an enclosed container such as a railway car during discharge of material from the container. The device includes a securing member having an interlock for releasably retaining a replaceable filter member that is adapted to admit air into the container. The mounting member is adapted for mounting in an opening in the container member. A securing member has a one way interlook with the mounting member which may be overridden for disassembly and a releasable interlock with the filter member.

摘要: An air-cooling system for electric traction motors of a bogie of a motorized railway vehicle is shown which tends to reduce problems in drawing air through a cooling air channel to the traction motors and helps to reduce the problems encountered by the failure of a cooling fan for such electric traction motors. The air-cooling system is adapted for use with at least two air-cooled electric traction motors where each motor is coupled to an axle of a truck, the system comprising a common cooling air channel in communication with each traction motor and at least two intake channels communicating with the common cooling air channel, each intake channel including an air intake, a separately driven fan and valve means for preventing air from flowing out the intake upon failure of a fan to operate properly.
