    摘要： A paper machine carrier drum apparatus includes a drivable carrier drum and a cylinder disposed adjacent the carrier drum. The cylinder is disposed parallel to an axis of the carrier drum and can be swiveled about a peripheral region of the drum. The apparatus also includes a guide roll disposed upstream of the carrier drum with respect to a direction of travel of a paper web through the apparatus and a pressure roll disposed adjacent to the drum and adjustably pressable thereagainst. The pressure roll can be moved to a number of positions about a periphery of the drum.

    摘要： A winding apparatus for winding a web material onto an empty core and into a roll, having a winding drum for guiding the web material supported on a first side, and cutting device for cross-cutting the web material prior to winding of it onto an empty core. The winding apparatus has air nozzles for ejecting compressed air onto the first side of the web material near a free end of the web material. By ejecting a gas, which preferably could be compressed air, onto the free end of the web, the free end is blown towards the empty core which is rotated. When the free end of the web material comes into contact with the rotating empty core, due to the ejected gas/air, the web will easily be “caught” by the rotating empty core, even without tape or adhesive, and a smooth new roll of web material wound.

    摘要： A web-chopping and sheet-winding apparatus comprising an unwinder for unwinding a supply roll of continuous flexible web which may be adhesive on at least one side. A knife roller including at least one fixed transverse knife blade extending from the surface is in nipped relationship with an anvil roller, the height of the knife blade being greater than the thickness of the web. The anvil and knife roller spacing is such that the knife blade extends just to the surface of the anvil roller, thereby chopping the continuous web into sheets as the anvil and knife rollers turn synchronously with the web passing therebetween. A tape core roller in nipped relationship receives the chopped sheets sequentially, the leading edge of each sheet being lifted from the anvil roller by any of a plurality of novel means.
