    摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a solid polyaluminoxane composition suitably used as a cocatalyst and a catalyst carrier in combination with an olefin oligomerization or polymerization catalyst, without the use of solid inorganic carriers such as silica. The solid polyaluminoxane composition of the invention includes a polyalkylaluminoxane and a trialkylaluminum, and has a solubility in n-hexane at 25° C. of less than 0.50 mol % as measured by a specific method (i), a solubility in toluene at 25° C. of less than 1.0 mol % as measured by a specific method (ii), and a 13 mol % or more molar fraction of alkyl groups derived from the trialkylaluminum moieties relative to the total number of moles of alkyl groups derived from the polyalkylaluminoxane moieties and the alkyl groups derived from the trialkylaluminum moieties as measured with respect to tetrahydrofuran-d8 soluble components by a specific method (iii).

Preferred polymers comprise orthoborate anions capped with dibasic acid residues, preferably oxalato or malonato acid residues. The conductivity of these polymers is found to be high relative to that of most conventional salt-in-polymer electrolytes. The conductivity at high temperatures and wide electrochemical window make these materials especially suitable as electrolytes for rechargeable lithium batteries.

    摘要: The present invention relates generally to a method of synthesising a metal alkoxide polymer involving the following general steps: 1. acidolysis; 2. condensation; and 3. subsequent processing. The acidolysis step is preferably performed without addition of water, in the presence of a mutual solvent. The acidolysis step involves acidolysis of a metal alkoxide compound with an acid to produce an intermediate acidolysed solution. The condensation step involves condensation of the intermediate solution in the presence of a metal alkoxide compound to produce the metal alkoxide polymer.

    摘要: A process for producing an alumina-based fiber, which involves mixing an aluminum compound represented by the general formula AIR.sub.1 R.sub.2 R.sub.3 (wherein R.sub.1 R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each an organic group or a halogen) with water in a molar ratio of ([H.sub.2 O]/[AIR.sub.1 R.sub.2 R.sub.3 ]) of 1.10 to 1.40 to produce a polyaluminoxane, mixing the polyaluminoxane with at least one silicon-containing compound in an amount such that desired alumina-based fiber has, after calcining, a silica content of up to 70%, spinning the resulting mixture of polyaluminoxane and silicon-containing compound under an atmosphere controlled at a temperature of above 28.degree. C. and a relative humidity of above 35% to obtain precursor fiber, and then calcinating the precursor fiber to obtain an alumina-based fiber.
