Abstract:
The frame of a cantilevered gate is formed from upper and lower tracks, each of which is formed from a series of track sections. Adjacent track sections are spliced together. At the lower track, two mirror-image lower splicing elements fit over opposite sides of the joined track sections. At the upper track, a single upper splicing element forms an external connection between the track sections, while a splicing block forms an internal connection. Paired upper and lower track sections are joined by upright members. The upright members are seated at opposite ends within a tubular member of a track section. Each tubular member includes an elongate external fin to which pickets are attached.

A barrier for use with a gate assembly includes a quadrilateral frame comprising top and bottom horizontal members and first and second vertical members, a horizontal gate beam extending longitudinally from a buttress end to a latch end, the gate beam constructed of a W-beam having a web oriented horizontally and extending laterally between first and second flanges, a first stop connected to the buttress end and extending perpendicular to the first and second flanges, a first latch connected to the latch end, the first latch forming a hook comprising a shank extending longitudinally from the latch end, a point located opposite the shank, a gap between the point and the shank, and an opening between the point and the latch end, and the gate beam connected to the frame between the top and bottom horizontal members.
Abstract:
A gate opener assembly is comprised of a gate and an anchor assembly having a platform. A plurality of track assemblies on the platform provide a track on which the gate may slide from a first position (closed) to a second position (open) and any position in between. A guidepost having a “Shepherd's hook” configuration guides the gate as the gate passes therethrough. A pair of rollers within the interior of the top of the guidepost makes continuous contact with each side of the top of the gate both while the gate is stationary and in motion. A gate opener controller contains the required electrical connections to fully the operate gate opener assembly. Subterrain anchor supports provide the necessary support for the gate opener assembly. An alternative embodiment accommodates nontraditional configured gates. Installation of the gate opener assembly is performed by do-it-yourselfers in minimal time.
Abstract:
A support bracket for supporting a glass panel comprises a base adapted to be anchored to a ground or structure. A glass interface is configured to be connected to a glass panel for the support bracket to support a portion of the glass panel. A height adjustment mechanism operatively connects the base to the glass interface, the height adjustment mechanism enabling a translational upward and downward movement of the glass interface relative to the base and being lockable to maintain the glass interface at a desired height. A leveling adjustment mechanism is in the base for adjusting a level of the base relative to the ground or structure, the leveling adjustment mechanism being lockable to maintain the base at a desired leveling.
Abstract:
A portable gate module for selectively opening and closing a path through a secured perimeter can include a base structure, a gate support structure, a gate such as a gate panel structure with chain link or other fill structure, a power source, and a drive structure. The base structure can be configured to be removably positionable in the secured perimeter adjacent the path. The gate module can be configured as a pre-cast unit that can be quickly and easily placed into location at a remote or unimproved location such that a gate system can be quickly effected with minimal effort or expertise at the installation location.
Abstract:
The present gate handle includes a push button that is pushed before the gate handle is slid from a closed position to an open position on top of a support member. The support member includes a resilient button that extends into the gate handle and is pushable out of the gate handle by the push button. The support member further includes side slots that are engaged by side slides extending from the handle.
Abstract:
A barrier that includes four structurally different corner connections for fixing a gate frame of the barrier to and between opposing vertical surfaces. A first connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a pivot hook and socket, a second connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a socket, a third connection includes headless bent pin engaging a socket and a limiter, and a fourth connection includes a headless bent pin engaging a socket.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a door assembly for an animal enclosure. The assembly includes a door frame having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough. The assembly also includes a door configured to move between an open position and a close position relative to the door frame. A latch is pivotably coupled to the door and includes a mechanism that is removably coupled to the door frame. The assembly further includes a first vertical wire and a second vertical wire of the door. A first guide wire and a second guide wire are coupled to the door frame. The first vertical wire is coupled to and moves along the first guide wire between the open and close positions, and the second vertical wire is coupled to and moves along the second guide wire between the open and close positions.
Abstract:
A linear gate drive assembly with a drive rail connectable to a gate panel. A linear drive portion having a toothed drive surface is coupled to a first drive surface of the drive rail and has teeth thereon with a first rolling tooth profile. A drive wheel is attached to one drive motor and engages the first drive surface to impart an axial drive force on the drive rail. Another drive wheel is attached to another drive motor and engages the second drive surface. The second drive wheel has teeth that mate with the first teeth and that define another rolling tooth profile corresponding to the first rolling tooth profile. Rotation of the second drive wheel imparts axial and normal forces via a rolling teeth interface for moving the drive rail and the gate panel.
Abstract:
A modular slide gate is movable along a hanger assembly of a cantilever slide gate system between an open position where access through a secured perimeter is permitted and a closed position where access through a secured perimeter is obstructed. The modular slide gate can include a top member, a bottom member, and a plurality of cross-members extending between and connected to the bottom member and the at least one wall of the frame member. The top member can include a frame member and a track member. The frame member can include at least one wall. The track member can be configured and dimensioned to receive the hanger assembly and can include at least one wall that extends continuously from and is homogenous with the at least one wall of the frame member.
