    摘要: Disclosed herein is a suspension arm component for vehicles with sufficient strength or rigidity to withstand repetitive compressive and tensile forces, and a method for manufacturing such a component by pressing or hemming process alone, without recourse to any welding process, forming quickly and simply, a process with advantages in terms of material yield and cost. The suspension arm component for vehicles includes first flange pieces as well as second flange pieces, and a pair of half members, each having a hat-like shaped cross-section perpendicular to its axis, are joined together to protrude the first flange part and the second flange part from an expanded part, where both the first flange part and the second flange part extend linearly along the axis of the main body part. The main body part presents a rectangular shape in its side view.

    摘要: A connecting rod of a crank mechanism is made as a single sheet metal part by shaping without chip removal out of sheet metal. The connecting rod comprises a base sheet (1) that is provided with an upper connecting rod eye (2) and a lower connecting rod eye (3). Each of the connecting rod_eyes (2, 3) has an integral cylindrical stamping (6, 7). The connecting rod further comprises a stiffening collar (8) that is integrally formed out of the base sheet (1) and is configured without interruption on the periphery of the base sheet (1).

    摘要: A link rod for supportably suspending a structural member from a vehicle frame includes a one-piece body press-formed from a metal plate material. The one-piece body defines a main rod section having a bent portion at one end thereof forming a first attachment section which lies on a plane arranged crosswise to a plate plane of the main rod section, and a second attachment section attachment section extending contiguously to an opposite end of the main rod section co-directionally with the plate plane. Reinforcing flanges formed at lateral edges of the main rod section. The reinforcing flanges include extension edges disposed at the bend portion and extending at least from the one end of the main rod toward the first attachment section, the extension edges being bent outwardly from top edge portions of the reinforcing flanges in a direction crosswise to a remainder thereof.

    摘要: A control arm used as a suspension link within a vehicle suspension system has two similar members. Each member has a substantially W shaped cross section and circular endplates. The endplates are coupled together with bushings that include a compressible member. During normal loading, this bushing arrangement keeps the two members spaced apart. This allows each member to bend and flex when subjected to longitudinal forces. As transverse loading occurs, the two members are caused to move together, and eventually abut one another. This abutment greatly increases the overall strength of the control arm, allowing it to withstand severe transverse forces without buckling.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for fitting a connecting member at one end of a control rod, wherein a sleeve of resistant fibres impregnated with polymerizable resin is applied substantially against the inner wall of the end, the end is flattened at least until the portions of inner face of the sleeve, disposed on either side of the plane of flattening, are applied against one another, substantially completely obturating the section of the flattened portion of the tubular end, and the resin impregnating the sleeve is polymerized after flattening. The invention is more particularly applicable to the obtaining of light, resistant connecting rods, especially for aircraft.
