    摘要: An electrostatic discharge bag may include a bottom portion, and a front portion integrally connected to the bottom portion and including a first inside-out creased edge. The electrostatic bag may include a first side portion integrally connected to the bottom portion and the front portion and including a second inside-out creased edge and a first pair of outside-in creased edges, and a second side portion integrally connected to the bottom portion and the front portion and including a third inside-out creased edge and a second pair of outside-in creased edges. The first and second pairs of outside-in creased edges may enable the electrostatic discharge bag to collapse inward and downward toward the bottom portion. The electrostatic discharge bag may include a rear portion integrally connected to the bottom portion, the first side portion, and the second side portion and including a fourth inside-out creased edge.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for conducting an electrical current between a first transport member and a second transport member. In one illustrative embodiment, a coupling assembly comprises a first fitting associated with a first end of a first transport member, a second fitting associated with a second end of a second transport member, and a seal. The seal is configured for placement around the first fitting and the second fitting when the first end of the first transport member is positioned relative to the second end of the second transport member. The seal is further configured to seal an interface between the first transport member and the second transport member. The seal is comprised of a material configured such that the seal has a level of conductivity within a selected range and such that a conductive pathway is formed between the first transport member and the second transport member.

    摘要: When neutralizing the static charges on both sides of a web exiting an unwinding roll, the inside surface of the web may carry a high level of static charge from the unwinding roll to the first conveyance roller. An electrical discharge between the charged inside surface of the web and the first conveyance roller may damage a sensitive, high value coating or layer on the inside surface of the web. Disclosed is a method for suppressing an electrical discharge between the charged inside surface of a web exiting an unwinding roll and a first conveyance roller. The method comprises neutralizing static charges on the outside surface of the unwinding roll using a static dissipater, separating the web from the roll at an unwinding nip, neutralizing a first portion of the static charges on the inside surface of the web to suppress electrical discharges between the web and the first conveyance roller using a static dissipater located near web just before the web touches the first conveyance roller, and neutralizing the remaining second portion of the static charges on the inside surface of the web after the web has exited the first conveyance roller.
