摘要: A light-emitting diode (LED) string includes an electrically conductive wire and a plurality of LEDs. The LEDs are electrically connected to the wire in series along an axial length of the wire. The LED string may include a solder layer, with the LEDs electrically connected to the wire via the solder layer. A tube having an optional phosphor coating may circumscribe the wire and LEDs. When connected to a surface, the LED string emits light in a band of at least 180 degrees with respect to the surface. A light assembly includes a first surface and a first LED string configured as set forth above. The light assembly may include a second LED string positioned with respect to the surface and having additional LEDs configured to illuminate in response to a second control signal from the controller.

摘要: A vehicle lighting unit can include a first lens and a second lens disposed below the first lens, and a first semiconductor light-emitting device disposed substantially at a vehicle rear-side focal point of the first lens. Light emitted from the first semiconductor light-emitting device in a narrow angle direction can be incident on the first lens. A first reflector can be disposed diagonally forward and downward with respect to the first semiconductor light-emitting device such that light emitted from the first semiconductor light-emitting device in a wide angle direction is incident thereon and reflected diagonally rearward and downward. The light emitted in the narrow angle direction and incident on the first lens having a luminous intensity higher than the light emitted in the wide angle direction. A second reflector can be disposed diagonally rearward and downward with respect to the first reflector.

摘要: A lighting module includes at least one light-emitting assembly and one lens for shaping the emitted light rays, the lens having an entrance face for the light rays and an exit face. The lens is a flat lens, the lens and the emitting assembly being configured so that the exit face includes a first section and a second section that differ in the amount of light rays exiting from the lens via one or other of these sections in order that the first section forms an optical section and in order that the second section forms a lighting neutral section. The second section extends from the first section in order to have a largest dimension that is larger than the thickness of the flat lens, the exit face of the lens including features over the entirety of its area.

摘要: Lamp assemblies, motorized vehicles with lamp assemblies, and methods of constructing and methods of using lamp assemblies are disclosed. A lamp assembly is disclosed that includes a lamp housing that is configured to attach to a motor vehicle's front-end or rear-end vehicle structure. A transparent lens is attached to the lamp housing. The lamp assembly also includes an organic light emitting diode (OLED) panel with a transmissive substrate layer that is attached to the lamp housing. An electroluminescent layer, which generates light in response to an electric signal, is coupled to the transmissive substrate layer. The electroluminescent layer is configured to selectively emit light through the lens. A light source is also attached to the lamp housing and is configured to emit light through the OLED panel and out through the lens.

The second electrode (22) and the current distribution layer (3) contact each other in the contact regions (33). In a current blocking region (34), the current distribution layer (3) is located entirely within the contour line (40) such that the second electrode (22) is electrically disconnected from the current distribution layer (3). The luminous intensity of a lighting surface (11) of the light-emitting diode (1) is preferably set in a controlled manner via the distribution of the contact regions (33) and the current blocking regions (34).
