    摘要: To provide a dynamometer control device whereby excitation control can be performed so that a resonance phenomenon does not occur even when the moment of inertia of an engine is unknown. A dynamometer control device 6 is provided with an excitation signal generating unit 61 for generating a randomly or periodically fluctuating excitation signal, a speed controller 62 for generating an input signal to a dynamometer whereby a dynamo rotation speed matches a predetermined dynamo command rotation speed, a shaft torque compensator 64 for generating an input signal to the dynamometer whereby vibration of a shaft for connecting an engine and the dynamometer is suppressed using the detection value of a shaft torque sensor, and an adder 65 for generating a torque electric current command signal by adding the input signals generated by the speed controller 62 and the shaft torque compensator 64 to the excitation signal.

The method comprises using a 3-axis accelerometer to perform diagnosis of the performance of an internal combustion engine, the performance of the engine including an engine power loss and one or more flaws associated with the engine mount. The method is also usable for diagnosing deterioration of a suspension system of said vehicle. An apparatus comprising a 3-axis accelerometer for diagnosing performance of a vehicle is also provided. In one embodiment, the 3-axis accelerometer is embedded in a smart phone.

The negative-pressure sensor introduces a negative pressure into an evaporation system. The pressure detecting portion detects the pressure in the evaporation system. The leakage diagnosis apparatus includes a leakage-diagnosis portion and a determining portion. The leakage-diagnosis portion executes a leakage diagnosis to determine whether a leakage of the evaporation system is generated. The determining portion determines whether an evaporated-gas amount in the evaporation system is in an excessive state while the internal combustion engine is stopped. The leakage-diagnosis portion prohibits or terminates the leakage diagnosis, when the determining portion determines that the evaporated-gas amount is in the excessive state.

A test body is separated into an engine main body and intermediate coupling body for connecting a crankshaft and an output shaft of the dynamometer. The engine bench system is provided with: a shaft torque sensor for detecting torsional torque; a shaft torque command generation apparatus for calculating a dynamo-side shaft torque command value by summing an engine-side shaft torque command value, and a torque value proportional to the moment of inertia of the intermediate coupling body; and a shaft torque controller for generating a torque control signal on the basis of the dynamo-side shaft torque command value and the output value of the shaft torque sensor.

    摘要: Apparatus for controlling and diagnosing a prime mover of a vehicle traction system includes an alternator having a rotor and coupled to a crankshaft of the prime mover, a source of electrical energy, a position sensor supplying a position signal representative of an angular position of the rotor, and a control computer. The computer supplies energy to the alternator to crank the prime mover at a controlled rate. In a diagnosis mode, the computer generates a condition signal indicative of a malfunction of the prime mover, from a compression signal derived from an acceleration signal which is derived from the position signal. In a barring-over mode, the computer also supplies energy to the alternator and monitors the position signal to place the crankshaft in a desired angular position in an operation separate from diagnosis mode.
