摘要: A device for detecting leaks or weaknesses in a flexible package. The device includes a first member having a non-conductive surface, a second member secured in a position adjacent the first member, and a control system. The second member has an electrically conductive first portion and an electrically conductive second portion. The electrically conductive first portion of the second member is normally electrically insulated from the electrically conductive second portion of the second member. The control system is arranged to detect an electrical current between the electrically conductive first portion and the electrically conductive second portion. The second member may be positioned relative the first member to compress a flexible package between the first member and the second member.

摘要: A sealed condition inspecting device comprising a support unit for supporting an element to be inspected for a sealed condition, a pair of electrodes in contact with the portion to be inspected of the element to be inspected and supported by the support unit, an electrical variable detecting unit for detecting an electrical variable in the portion to be inspected, and a sealed condition judging means for judging the acceptability of a sealed condition based on the electrical variable. In fact, since the acceptability of a sealed condition is judged based on an electrical variable in the portion, to be inspected, whether or not a defective sealed condition has occurred can be determined independently of the subjectivity of the operator, whereby a sealed condition can be inspected for a sealed condition without unpacking them, not only inspection work can be simplified but reliability in the quality of an element to be inspected can be improved.

摘要: In order to obtain a reliable idea of the state of tightness for tightness testing of containers filled with liquids in which a pressure differential .DELTA.p is created between the interior of the container and its exterior, and also relative to the container wall in contact with the filling, an impedance measurement (7) is performed using measuring electrodes (3a, 3b) on the exterior of container (1).

摘要: An apparatus detects a leak of an electrically conductive fluid from a disposable plastic bag used in mixing applications, such as during bioprocessing in a sterile environment. In one embodiment, the bag is associated with a sensor for detecting a leak from an interior compartment. The sensor may be arranged to detect either a leak internal to the at least two material layers of the bag or external to the outer layer, or both. Related methods are also disclosed.

摘要: Portable and disposable apparatus for leak testing surgical and/or examination gloves which may be worn on the body of the user to permit convenient detection of glove leaks during diagnostic procedures. In one embodiment there is provided an electrolyte-containing pouch worn on the body of the user and into which gloved hands may be inserted for evaluation. A leak in a glove permits the electrolyte to penetrate the glove and contact the skin of the wearer to close an electrical circuit and trigger an alarm.
