摘要： A tool-operating copy of a magnetic tape program for a machine tool is made from a master tape that has been produced by a large-scale computer. The master tape is scanned and a desired program therefrom is read into the memory of a small interfacing computer. The output of the interfacing computer is used to reproduce the selected program in a cartridge tape unit which provides the actual tool-operating copy. While the copy is being made, information temporarily stored in the interfacing computer is printed out for visual identification. Portions of the program determined to be in error by visual insepction, or portions desired to be changed, are fed back into the interfacing computer through a keyboard device to correct the appropriate parts of the program contained within the interfacing computer memory and also correct the cartridge operating copy.

摘要： A robot program checking method for editing a robot program accurately and rapidly. When types of a controller and a robot body to which an edit program is to be applied are specified after the edit program is created, a format table indicative of a format suitable for the controller and movable range data for an operating section of the robot body are transferred from a floppy disk to a working memory together with the edit program. If the edit program which is read out one block by one block is not stated in accordance with a predetermined format, or if a position data contained in the edit program and indicative of a target moving position of the operating section of the robot body falls outside the movable range, an error message indicative of a block number and a reason for the error are printed out. With reference to the error message, an operator corrects the edit program.

摘要： A programmer unit includes a keyboard through which an operator may enter data which is responsive to questions displayed on an alpha-numeric display. The programmer automatically leads the operator through a series of steps in which a part is defined as a series of composites and stored in an (L) array. This definition of the part is then converted to a series of move commands which are stored sequentially in an (O) array. Cutter offset and machine codes are added to the data stored in the (O) array to form a part program which may be read out and stored on punched tape or magnetic tape.

摘要： A computer assisted radiation therapy machine is disclosed. The machine includes a rotatable gantry having a radiation source portion and a beam stopping portion. The gantry is rotatable about a patient treatment couch which is rectilinearly translatable in three orthogonal directions as well as being rotatable about the vertical axis. Geometric and dose parameters defining a prescribed treatment plan of radiation are stored in the memory of the computer. Positional signals are derived from the various movable controls and parts of the radiation machine. The prescribed treatment parameters are compared with the actual positionings of the elements and controls of the machine to derive an interlock output when at least one of said actual parameters differs from the respective prescribed parameter. The interlock output is employed to inhibit application of radiation to the patient until the mistake is rectified.

摘要： A computer assisted radiation therapy machine is disclosed. The machine includes a rotatable gantry having a radiation source portion which is rotatable about a patient treatment couch. Geometric and dose parameters of the machine for defining a prescribed treatment plan of radiation are stored in the memory of the computer. A readout and display means is provided for displaying the geometric and dose parameters of the defined radiation treatment plan. Editing and updating capability are provided for editing and updating the treatment plan with the cumulative radiation dose administered to each portal and the total cumulative dose administered to the patient. Each parameter of a proposed treatment plan is compared with permissible ranges of machine parameters stored in a memory to verify that the proposed treatment is within the permissible range of the machine.
