摘要: Methods that can parallel search a partitioned data set extended (PSDE) indexes are provided. One method includes managing a set of quick indexes in a memory device in which the set of quick indexes include references to storage locations for a subset of members of a PDSE stored in a set of long-term storage devices. The method further includes receiving a request to determine a storage location of a member of the PDSE and, in response to the request, searching the set of quick indexes to determine the storage location. Systems and computer program products for performing the above method are also provided.

The method includes receiving, at a listener of a first node, data from a second node that is filtered using the filter during a search query of a node cluster. The method further includes determining, at the listener, that a third node has joined the node cluster during the search query. The method further includes communicating the filter the third node joining the node cluster in response to the third node joining the cluster.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for searching for a data stream dividing point based on a server. In the embodiments of the present invention, a data stream dividing point is searched for by determining whether at least a part of data in a window of M windows meets a preset condition, and when the at least a part of data in the window does not meet the preset condition, a length of N*U is skipped, so as to obtain a next potential dividing point, thereby improving efficiency of searching for a data stream dividing point.

The processing device may determine that the backup data stored at the first node matches the first filter. The processing device may send, to the second node, a duplicate data notification indicating that the backup data comprises, at least in part, first data duplicative to second data communicated to the second node from the third node.

摘要: An item is determined to exist in a dataset by arranging the dataset into a plurality of subsets, each bounded by the minimum amount of memory that may be transferred between levels of memory in a memory configuration. The item and the subsets have attributes that allow for a determination of which subset the item would exist in if the item were in the dataset. A singular subset is transferred between levels of memory to determine whether the item exists in the transferred subset. If the item does not exist in the transferred subset, it is determined that the item does not exist in the dataset.
