摘要: An example method of entitling endpoint software in a multi-cloud environment having a public cloud in communication through a messaging fabric with a data center includes: determining, by an entitlement service executing as a cloud service in the public cloud, deployment information for the endpoint software executing on virtualized hosts of the data center; generating, by the entitlement service in response to an entitlement request, an entitlement task in response to verifying the entitlement request against the deployment information; sending, through the messaging fabric, the entitlement task from the entitlement service to an entitlement agent of an agent platform appliance executing in the data center; and applying, by the entitlement agent in cooperation with a licensing service of the endpoint software, a subscription entitlement as indicated in the entitlement task.

摘要: A method and system for authorizing software in an electronic device is provided. The electronic device has a unique identifier (UID) and is connected to a server of the software through a terminal device. The method includes: generating and transmitting at least one section of audio/video data embedded with the UID corresponding to the electronic device to the terminal device; uploading the audio/video data through the terminal device and sending an authorization request to the server of the software; returning authorization audio/video data from the server of the software through the terminal device, wherein the authorization audio/video data includes an authorization key corresponding to the electronic device; and enabling the electronic device to obtain the authorization audio/video data by means of audio/video communication, so as to obtain the authorization key and authorize the software in the electronic device.

摘要: The invention relates to a system and methods for providing conditional access to indoor location information in a system comprising a mobile device (320), a positioning webservice (310) and an authorization authority (360), the method comprising: the mobile device (320) performing the steps of: transmitting license information to the authorization authority (360) and transmitting a request for indoor location information to the positioning webservice, the request comprising a request-location-estimate corresponding to a location estimate of the mobile device (320) at the time of making the request, the authorization authority (360) performing the steps of: receiving the license information, verifying whether the license information authorizes access to indoor location information by the mobile device (320), issuing a secure proof, verifiable by the positioning webservice (310) upon successful verification, the secure proof indicating that the license information authorizes access to indoor location information by the mobile device (320) for an authorized region; the positioning webservice (310) performing the steps of: receiving the request for indoor location information and the secure proof; verifying whether the secure proof authorizes the transmission of indoor location information to the mobile device (320) for the request-location-estimate; and upon successful verification sending indoor location information for the request-location-estimate to the mobile device (320).

摘要: A lightweight throttling mechanism allows for dynamic control of access to resources in a distributed environment. Each request received by a server of a server group is parsed to determine tokens in the request, which are compared with designated rules to determine whether to process or reject the request based on usage data associated with an aspect of the request, the token values, and the rule(s) specified for the request. The receiving of each request can be broadcast to throttling components for each server such that the global state of the system is known to each server. The system then can monitor usage and dynamically throttle requests based on real time data in a distributed environment.

摘要: A server in a digital rights management system implements version control for the digital documents being managed. Each document belongs to a document series and has a version number. The server maintains a version control database table that stores, for each document, the document series name and version number, and parameters indicating whether the document is obsoleted or deleted. When registering a new document, based on auto-obsolete and auto-delete parameters inputted by the user, the server automatically obsoletes or deletes certain older version documents that belong to the same series as the new document. The server controls access to the documents so that obsoleted documents will not be accessible to users even if they still have local copies of such documents. When a user requests access to an older version document that is not obsoleted, the server may allow access to the latest version document instead.

The method further includes collecting virtual container data for the virtual container. The method also includes associating, by a processing device, the virtual container to at least one of a plurality of images. Additionally, the method includes building, by the processing device, a container event database based on the virtual container data and the association of the virtual container to the at least one of the plurality of images, so as to enable tracking of software in the plurality of images and in live virtual containers.
