Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for neural translation systems with rare word processing. One of the methods is a method training a neural network translation system to track the source in source sentences of unknown words in target sentences, in a source language and a target language, respectively and includes deriving alignment data from a parallel corpus, the alignment data identifying, in each pair of source and target language sentences in the parallel corpus, aligned source and target words; annotating the sentences in the parallel corpus according to the alignment data and a rare word model to generate a training dataset of paired source and target language sentences; and training a neural network translation model on the training dataset.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, and methods enhance the inspection of internal areas and occupants of vehicles, and can employ one or more high-resolution cameras, one or more auxiliary illumination devices and a related computer system. According to various embodiments, an auxiliary illumination device can be synchronized to one or more cameras, and configured to supply auxiliary illumination to facilitate capture of accurate and usable images. Advanced image processing solutions assist with identifying individuals inside a vehicle, removing light glare and undesired reflections from a window surface, and capturing an image through a tinted window, among other things. Further, embodiments can compare a captured image to an authenticated image from a database, so as to confirm the identity of a vehicle occupant.
Abstract:
According to some example embodiments, a method includes based, at least in part, on one or more signals representative of user-defined content, assessing the user-defined content and storing one or more signals representative of a result of the assessment of the user-defined content. The method further includes selecting one or more widgets for presentation in combination with other content associated with the user-defined content, the selecting being based at least in part on the assessment of the user-defined content.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a personal token for a mobile telecommunication network, hosting application software. The personal token is operable to receive an over-the-air SMS message encapsulating commands directed to the application, open the SMS and extract the commands from the SMS. The steps of opening the SMS and extracting the commands from the SMS are performed by a software entity in the personal token which is distinct from the application, so that the software entity initiates transmission of the extracted commands to the application.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel interactive information system which can be used to make a traditional print medium such as a magazine, “interactive”. When the traditional print medium is placed on a print media receiving unit in a predetermined position, a user can interact with the traditional print medium. Printed matter elements on the printed medium can be made “selectable” by the user.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for paginating documents such as html documents is disclosed. A document viewing engine generates a preliminary layout for the, the preliminary layout having a layout width that is equivalent to a viewport width of a viewport on which the document will be displayed. The document viewing engine computes a final layout for the document based on determining a plurality of horizontal pixel lines where page breaks can be placed without cutting off any element in the document and assigns page breaks to one or more of the plurality of horizontal pixel lines based on a height of the viewport. The document viewing engine identifies, for a current page, one or more visual elements that will not be fully within the viewport if painted. The document viewing engine paints the current page without painting the identified one or more visual elements. After changing from the current page to a new page, the document viewing engine paints the contents of the new page without re-computing the final layout of the document.
Abstract:
A transactional memory (TM) receives a lookup command across a bus from a processor. The command includes a memory address, a starting bit position, and a mask size. In response to the command, the TM pulls an input value (IV). The memory address is used to read a word containing multiple result values (RVs) and multiple key values from memory. Each key value is indicates a single RV to be output by the TM. A selecting circuit within the TM uses the starting bit position and mask size to select a portion of the IV. The portion of the IV is a key selector value. A key value is selected based upon the key selector value. A RV is selected based upon the key value. The key value is selected by a key selection circuit. The RV is selected by a result value selection circuit.

Abstract:
A selecting machine of the type commonly used for addressing mailed material from individual data-bearing cards, using tri-level logical comparator circuitry to compare the individual cards against an interchangeable master card. Both the individual and the master cards are perforated in files of holes longitudinal to the direction in which they are synchronously moved by the machine, the files of perforations being sensed by phototransistors connected in turn to the logic circuitry. For each potentially perforable site on the individual card, there are two corresponding locations on the master card, one of which when matched by a perforation on the individual card indicates nominal selection of the individual card, the other of which indicates positive rejection of the individual card, overriding any nominal selection, with rejection by default occurring if neither location on the master is perforated to correspond with a perforation at the equivalent site on the individual card. Synchronization pulses for gating the logic circuitry in the examination process are derived from a completely perforate file on the master card.
