    摘要: Some embodiments provide a device that automatically orients and displays a map of a region according to the natural viewing orientation of the map. In some embodiments, the device examines data associated with the map to determine whether it can identify a natural viewing orientation of the map that differs from the geographic orientation of the map. When the device is able to identify such a natural viewing orientation, it displays the map according to this natural viewing orientation instead of the geographic orientation of the map. On the other hand, when the device is not able to identify a natural viewing orientation that differs from the geographic orientation, the device displays the map according to its geographic orientation. In some embodiments, the geographic orientation of the map is north-up orientation (where north is up (e.g., top center of the page), south is down, west is left, and east is right). In other embodiments, the geographic orientation of the map can be another orientation that is set by one of the geographic directions, such as south-up map orientation, where south is up, north is down, east is left and west is right.

    摘要: Based on map information acquired from a map DB, a viewpoint for viewing a ground surface on a map of a set region at a time of displaying the map is set. Altitude information that indicates an altitude of a landform present in at least a partial region of the set region is stored. In a case where the altitude information is present in the map DB at a position on the map, which is set in response to a position indicated by inputted position information, a sight direction of the viewpoint is changed, and the viewpoint is thereby set at a position higher than the altitude of the landform, which is indicated by altitude information of the position on the map. A display data for displaying, on a display device, a map in a case of viewing the ground surface from the viewpoint set is generated.

    摘要: A method and system for generating a map using a computer is based on data and weighted factors to minimize corresponding projection distortions. The method and system includes determining visualization goals from analyzing a set of datasets for a map using the computer. A set of visualization characteristics are calculated for each dataset based on the visualization goals using the computer. The visualization characteristics are analyzed to weight factors for each of the datasets. Each of the weighted factors is adjusted based on the relevance of each of the datasets for visualization of the map. An aggregate vector of weighted factors is calculated based on all of the datasets, and the map for visualization is generated based on the aggregate vector of weighted factors.

    摘要: Example systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for displaying a map of a multi-floor building are presented. In one example, a first view may be presented for display. The first view may include a floor map of each of multiple floors of a building. The floor maps may be arranged in parallel according to position within the building and displayed at an angle between perpendicular to the floor maps and parallel to the floor maps. During the presenting for display of the first view, a user selection of a first one of the floor maps may be received. In response to the user selection, an animation from the first view to a second view may be presented for display. The second view may display the first one of the floor maps at an angle perpendicular to the first one of the floor maps.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for obtaining and managing remote sensing data (e.g. Earth observation data). A remote sensing platform obtains imagery and other remote sensing data of the Earth and other planetary objects. The remote sensing platform includes the International Space Station, or manned and unmanned spacecraft or aircraft. A sensor captures observation data and transmits the data to ground stations on the Earth. A ground segment receives and stores the data. Users use an order management system to place orders for the observation data, which specify processing parameters for the remote sensing data. The remote sensing data is retrieved from storage is processed according to the parameters to generate a data product. This system provides tools for searching and analyzing the data, and for interacting with the system through an API. The system combines data that is produced by the remote sensing platform and by third parties.

    摘要: An approach for a route stabilization scrolling mode is provided. The approach displays a map window, wherein the map window includes a visible region of a map, the map including a plotted route originating at a source location and ending at a destination location. The approach receives one or more swipe gestures within the map window. The approach determines whether the one or more swipe gestures exceeds an escape velocity threshold. Responsive to a determination that the one or more swipe gestures exceeds the level of intensity to progress the map window into an area of the map away from the plotted route, the approach generates one or more custom pegs, wherein the one or more custom pegs is a compressed snapshot of a last position on the plotted route prior to exceeding the escape velocity threshold.
