    摘要: A computer-implemented method obtains a correlation between percent utilization and noise level for a plurality of compute node types, and obtains an inventory of a plurality of compute nodes in a cluster, wherein the inventory identifies each compute node by a compute node type, and wherein the plurality of compute nodes includes two or more compute node types. The method further includes determining a percent utilization of each compute node, and, for each compute node of an identified compute node type, determining a noise level using the determined percent utilization for the compute node as input into the correlation between percent utilization and noise level for the identified compute node type. An overall noise level in the cluster is calculated using the noise level determined for each compute node, and workload is distributed among the plurality of compute nodes to reduce the calculated overall noise level in the cluster.

    摘要: An adaptive, feed-forward, ambient noise-reduction system includes a reference microphone for generating first electrical signals representing incoming ambient noise, and a connection path including a circuit for inverting these signals and applying them to a loudspeaker directed into the ear of a user. The system also includes an error microphone for generating second electrical signals representative of sound (including that generated by the loudspeaker in response to the inverted first electrical signals) approaching the user's ear. An adaptive electronic filter is provided in the connection path, together with a controller for automatically adjusting one or more characteristics of the filter in response to the first and second electrical signals. The system is configured to constrain the operation of the adaptive filter such that it always conforms to one of a predetermined family of filter responses, thereby restricting the filter to operation within a predetermined and limited set of amplitude and phase characteristics.

    摘要: Robust acoustic echo cancellation in a single-channel integrated audio and intercom system is provided by adapting echo cancellation filters in accordance with an optimized autocorrelation matrix. This is carried out in a modified FIR LMS filter in which the adaptation regressor signal is formed by a combination of one or more of the received voice signal, the received audio signal, and/or a random noise signal. In a SISO system, it is usually desirable to shelter the regressor signal from tonal components such as voice signals. In a multiple-channel system, it is usually desirable to shelter regressor signals for a particular channel from acoustic components that are likely to be correlated to acoustic components in other parts of the system and are likely to affect that particular channel. In multi-channel applications, it is therefore usually desirable to shelter regressor signals from audio signals.
