Abstract:
An electrical connector includes a housing having contact channels with electrical contacts received therein each having a poke-in spring beam configured to engage an electrical wire when poked-in to the housing. The electrical contact is movable between a resting position when no wire is present in the wire channel and a clearance position where the electrical contact allows the electrical wire to be removed from the wire channel. Pivot levers are held by the housing and are coupled to corresponding electrical contacts with a pivot end pivotably coupled to the housing and a push button end having a push button pressed to move the corresponding electrical contact to the clearance position. When the electrical wire is loaded into the wire channel, the electrical contact is positioned in a pinching position in which the spring beam pinches against the electrical wire in physical contact with the electrical wire.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a dielectric film for converting electromagnetic or electrostatic energy into mechanical work, and a procedure for manufacturing the film. The film of the invention consists of a homogeneous film layer foamed to be of full-cell type and which has been oriented by stretching it in two directions and coated at least in part on one side or on both sides with an electrically conductive layer. The film is manufactured by extruding the plastic which has been made to be foamable, into tubular shape, performing intermediate cooling of the tube and reheating it, expanding the heated tube in two directions, metallizing the outer surfaces and cutting the tube open to become a film.

Abstract:
A relay includes a fixed contact point, a movable contact member and an electromagnetic device. The electromagnetic device includes a bobbin, a coil, a movable iron core, a first armature, a second armature, and a ferromagnetic member. The first armature has a first hole to which a first end portion of the movable iron core is insertion-fitted. The second armature has a second hole to which a second end portion of the movable iron core is insertion-fitted. The bobbin has a first rib formed on each of facing surfaces of a pair of first side pieces and a second rib formed on each of facing surfaces of a pair of second side pieces. The first armature is interposed between the first ribs of the pair of first side pieces and the second armature is interposed between the second ribs of the pair of second side pieces.
Abstract:
A motor starter or contactor having a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag incorporated therein for accurate determination of the position of contacts in the motor starter/contactor is disclosed. The motor starter/contactor includes separable contacts comprising a fixed contact structure and a movable contact structure having a closed position and an open position. An electromagnet is also included in the motor starter/contactor that is arranged to translate the movable contact structure between the closed position and the open position. An RFID tag is positioned on or adjacent the separable contacts to indicate the position of the movable contact structure in the motor starter/contactor.
Abstract:
A touch panel of the invention comprises a first panel having a first film base with transparency and a first transparent conductive thin film provided on one surface of the first film base; and a second panel having a second film base with transparency and a second transparent conductive thin film provided on one surface of the second film base, wherein the first panel and the second panel are arranged so as to face each other with a spacer therebetween, in such a manner that the first conductive thin film and the second conductive thin film face each other, wherein the surface of the first conductive thin film has a hardness of 1 GPa or more and a modulus of elasticity of 5 GPa or more, the surface of the second conductive thin film has a center line average roughness (Ra) of 0.3 nm to 1.0 nm, and that of the center line average roughness (Ra) of the surface of the second conductive thin film is smaller than that of the surface of the first conductive thin film. The touch panel has good durability.

Abstract:
A touch sensitive navigational surface functions as a user interface to a communication device such as a cellular telephone. An electromechanical dielectric (EMD) film coextensive with at least a portion of the surface of the cover of the device selectively functions as a sensor, microphone or speaker. The EMD film is placed behind a display to provide a user interface touch sensitive screen capable of sensing the direction of touching. At least a portion of the EMD film functions as a fingerprint recognition system to provide security means for controlling access and limiting call completion to an authorized user.
