    摘要: Equalizers and methods of equalizing, wherein an equalizer may include includes n (where n is an integer ≧) biquad circuits each include an input node, a biquad band pass node and a biquad low pass node, a first summing circuit summing an output of the biquad band pass node of the nth biquad circuit and an output of the biquad low pass node of the nth biquad circuit, a second summing circuit subtracting the output of the biquad low pass node of the (n−1)th biquad circuit from the output of the first summing circuit and amplifying the summed result by a constant, and a third summing circuit summing an output of the second summing circuit and the output of the biquad low pass node of the nth biquad circuit, wherein the n biquad circuits are Gm-C biquad circuits each having transconductors connected in a self-feedback configuration to the biquad band pass node of the corresponding n biquad circuit. The equalizer may increase a filter bandwidth and/or maintain a specific boosting gain while reducing circuit size.

    摘要: A tunable band pass filter is provided. The tunable band pass filter includes a band pass filter and a plurality of switches coupled to the band pass filter. The band pass filter includes a plurality of transconductors and a plurality of capacitors. The tunable band pass filter can be configured as a complex band pass filter or as a tuning device for tuning the center frequency of the complex band pass filter depending on the operation of the plurality of switches. The tuning device includes at least one tuning integrator and a comparator. The tuning integrator includes at least one transconductor and a capacitor. The transconductor is selected via the plurality of switches from the plurality of transconductors and the capacitor is selected via the plurality of switches from said plurality of capacitors. The selected transconductor and the selected capacitor determinines the center frequency of the band pass filter.

    摘要: Direct incorporation of transmission zeros into a continuous-time active complex BP filter transfer function yields a filter having much sharper roll-off than that of an all-pole filter. The ladder filter is constructed using transconductors and capacitors only. The filter center frequency, its bandwidth and positions of transmission zeros can be electronically varied using tunable transconductors. The positions of zeros are changed by modifying cross-coupled differential transconductors connected between capacitors in parallel with the series inductors. Since all transconductors used in the filter are electronically tunable an automatic tuning system conveniently adjusts the filter center-frequency and its Q-factor.

    摘要: A transconductor circuit, such as a gyrator filter, comprises an arrangement of balanced class AB transconductors, capacitors and floating MOS resistors formed by MOS transistors operating in their triode region. Tuning of the filter is effected by varying a common supply rail voltage. The circuit includes a means for producing a voltage offset from the common mode voltage of the class AB transconductors. The offset voltage is supplied to a parallel arrangement of a class AB transconductor having a transconductance and the source-drain path of a MOS transistor emulating a MOS resistor. The current output of the parallel arrangement is integrated and supplied as a control voltage to the gate electrode of the MOS transistor. By loop action the control voltage is adjusted and supplied to the floating MOS resistors.

The conveying circuit (544) has a programmable differential circuit (550) interconnected to a pair of programming inputs (564, 566). The pair of programming inputs (564, 566) is interconnected to a pair of programming inputs (238, 240) that set the gain of the OTA circuit (214). When the OTA circuit (214) is configured as an operational transconductance filter (112, 113), the programmable differential circuit (550) can adjust the gain of the conveying circuit (544) to compensate for changes in the input impedance of the filter (112, 113). The programming inputs (238, 240) that set the input impedance and bandwidth of the filter (113, 113) also control the amount of signal current transmitted by the conveying circuit (544).
