摘要: A signal generation method is used in a transmission device that transmits a plurality of transmission signals from a plurality of antennas at the same frequency and at the same time, in the case where larger power change is performed on a first transmission signal than on a second transmission signal during generation process of the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal, the first transmission signal and the second transmission signal are mapped before the power change such that a minimum Euclidian distance between possible signal points for the first signal is longer than a minimum Euclidian distance between possible signal points for the second signal.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for generating an STF signal usable in a wireless LAN system. The STF signal is included in a field used to improve AGC estimation of a MIMO transmission. A portion of the STF signal is used to transmit an uplink, and can be used for uplink MU PPDUs transmitted from a plurality of STAs. The STF signal that is disclosed, for example, is used for a 40 MHz band or an 80 MHz band, is desirably usable for the 40 MHz band, and can be generated based on a sequence in which a predetermined M sequence is repeated. The predetermined M sequence can be a binary sequence of which the length is 15 bits.

摘要: A receiver applies a calibration method to compensate for skew between input channels. The receiver skew is estimated by observing the coefficients of an adaptive equalizer which adjusts the coefficients based on time-varying properties of the multi-channel input signal. The receiver skew is compensated by programming the phase of the sampling clocks for the different channels. Furthermore, during real-time operation of the receiver, channel diagnostics is performed to automatically estimate differential group delay and/or other channel characteristics based on the equalizer coefficients using a frequency averaging or polarization averaging approach. Framer information can furthermore be utilized to estimate differential group delay that is an integer multiple of the symbol rate. Additionally, a DSP reset may be performed when substantial signal degradation is detected based on the channel diagnostics information.

摘要: Apparatus and method for transmitter alignment in an optical communication system are provided. In certain configurations, a method of correcting for transmitter skew is provided. The method includes generating an optical signal using a transmitter based on an in-phase (I) component and a quadrature-phase (Q) component of a transmit signal, the optical signal having a baud rate that is based on a timing tone. The method further includes receiving the optical signal as an input to a receiver, and generating a signal vector representing the optical signal using the receiver. The signal vector includes an I component and a Q component. The method further includes calculating a power of the timing tone based on processing the signal vector using a tone power calculator of the receiver, and correcting for a skew of the transmitter based on the calculated power.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for generating an STF signal usable in a wireless LAN system. The STF signal is included in a field used to improve AGC estimation of a MIMO transmission. The STF signal that is suggested, for example, can be used for an 80 MHz band and can be generated based on a sequence in which a predetermined M sequence is repeated. Also, the disclosed STF signal can be used for a 1×STF signal from the 1×STF signal and a 2×STF signal. The predetermined M sequence can be a binary sequence of which the length is 15 bits.
