摘要： A scalable Media-on-Demand (MoD) method to a large group of users in the Internet. This method makes use of peer buffering capabilities to collaborate in the distribution and downloading of media, facilitated by a central repository for the search of optimal peers as parent nodes to connect to and for the support of advanced features such as fast forward and backward plays. The method relieves the server load by shifting the media streaming functionality to the client side with high media receiving continuity and quality, leading to well-balanced and low network loads.

摘要： Disclosed herein are techniques to enable discovery of P2P capable devices and associated network connection information. In some embodiments, an information element is included in a transmitted request to indicate a request for network connection information from another wireless device. The device may respond with indications of the requested network connection information. Network connectivity capability determined from the network connection information may be used to decide whether to setup a Wi-Fi Direct link or a Tunneled Direct Link Setup (TDLS), or whether to use an AP infrastructure link with the other device.

摘要： Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods for modifying the numerology of the D2D frame structure to match the numerology of the Macro cell communication frame structure. Particularly, the present disclosure introduces techniques that allow the D2D devices to partition a long-TTI D2D transmission into a plurality of segments such that each segment may fit into a short-TTI MiCr uplink (UL) subframe. The present disclosure also provides techniques for scheduling D2D transmission and managing transmission power of the D2D communication to minimize the interference with the MiCr communication on the macro cell while maximizing the spectrum utilization.

The hub is configured to wirelessly communicate with the at least one sensor node on a first frequency channel and the method comprises: receiving a retention index of a second WBAN operating on the first frequency channel, wherein a retention index is a measure of the operational characteristics of the respective WBAN; comparing the retention index of the second WBAN with a retention index of the first WBAN; and changing the wireless communication behaviour of the first WBAN if the retention index of the first WBAN is lower than the retention index of the second WBAN.

The method further comprises classifying a connection by associating the connection with an application, wherein a first peered network device associated with the cluster classifies the connection based at least in part on sequential payload packets associated with the connection, at least some of which the first device receives from other peered network devices associated with the cluster. The method also comprises sending control information over one of the control information connections between the first peered network device and a second peered network device associated with the cluster, wherein the control information comprises information regarding the classification of the connection.
