Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for lock and key security, the lock including a light receptacle, a scatter pattern detecting module, and a locking mechanism, the key including a light source and a prism, the lock and key security including receiving, in the light receptacle of the lock, light transmitted by the light source in the key through the prism; identifying, by the scatter pattern detecting module, a scatter pattern of the received light; comparing, by the scatter pattern detecting module, the scatter pattern to a unique preauthorized pattern for operating the lock; if the scatter pattern matches the unique preauthorized pattern, switching, by the scatter pattern detecting module, the current locking state of the locking mechanism; and if the scatter pattern does not match the unique preauthorized pattern, maintaining the current locking state of the locking mechanism.
Abstract:
This invention involves a lock device, including housing with a center through hole and a core that matches the center through hole. There is a center through hole engagement groove in the wall of the center through hole and there is a core engagement groove opposite this center through hole engagement groove. The lock includes a fitting ring and elastic part. The fitting ring and elastic part are between the center through hole engagement groove and the core engagement groove, within the core engagement groove. The advantages of the aforementioned lock are that assembly is convenient and use is not easily affected by assembly.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an internal combustion engine (1) comprising a housing (2) having at least one opening (4) into its inside, which is preferably the engine-oil feed inlet, and with a camshaft (5), mounted inside the housing for rotation about its geometric shaft. The camshaft (5) and the housing (2) have means cooperating with each other and with a device for locking a turnable shaft (6) with respect to the housing, insertable through this opening. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the device consists of a rod (6), the cooperating means in the housing consist in a bore (7) for receiving an end of the rod (6), and the cooperating means on the cam shaft consist of a notch (9) made in the surface of the shaft, which cooperates with the rod. In this way, when there is a need to adjust, repair and/or replace engine (1) components, the rod (6) is inserted through the opening (4) and locked in this bore (7) of the housing (2). In this position, the rod functions as a stop against said notch (9) in the plane surface of the camshaft (5), preventing it from turning about its axis. When this operation is finished, said rod (6) is removed from the housing (2) through the oil-feed opening (4), and the shaft (5) is unlocked. Additionally, the present invention relates to an engine housing (2), preferably for use with an internal combustion engine (1).

Abstract:
A method of evaluating a master key system. The method comprises entering criteria for the master key system and determining the available master key cuts and change key cuts based on the criteria. The determined available master key cuts and change key cuts are arranged under a standard progression format including at least two page masters. Each page master is displayed as a graphical page master arranged graphically relative to the other graphical page masters based on the master key hierarchy. The information is displayed as a master key illustrator.
Abstract:
A mechanical counting device (25) provided within a lock (20), the lock (20) including a latch (26) and a hasp (22), wherein when the latch (26) is engaged with the hasp (22), the lock (20) is locked, and when the hasp (22) is released from the latch (26), the lock (20) is unlocked, the counting device (25) comprising: an actuator (5) to actuate in response to the hasp (22) engaging with the latch (26); and a visual indication (10) to visually indicate whether the lock (20) has been relocked; wherein each actuation of the actuator (5) causes the visual indication (10) to alter and indicate that the lock (20) has been relocked another time.
Abstract:
A security lock, locking system, kit, and personal apparel, such as garments, purses, and luggage that include the security lock. The security lock is a typical combination lock, which includes a body and a locking member in communication with a lock mechanism disposed within the body and a user interface disposed upon or within the body. A battery powered light is disposed proximate to the user interface such that the light illuminates the symbols on the movable members when power is supplied thereto. The system includes a security lock, with or without a light, and an adjustable cable. The kit and apparel include the system and a pouch.
