    摘要: A jerky product resembling real meat jerky and methods of forming the same are provided. Generally, methods of forming jerky include providing an extruded dry material including a non-meat protein isolate and starch. The dry material is hydrated thereby forming a moist material which is then formed into an elongated body and dried to a moisture content of about 15-24% by weight. Smoke flavor may be added to the body by a smoking step or by the addition of an artificial smoke flavoring during the formulation thereof.

    摘要: Fine granular feeds for fry of fishes and shellfishes capable of remarkably elevating the survival rate of fry, improving the cultivation efficiency, and causing little elution of nitrogen sources therefrom into seawater or water in feeding, which are characterized by containing at least three active components, i.e., (a) a long-chain unsaturated fatty acid calcium salt blend comprising 80% by weight or more of long-chain unsaturated fatty acid calcium salt(s) having at least 18 carbon atoms, (b) 20% by weight or less of a browned matter formed by heating molasses or saccharides, a browned matter formed by heating saccharides with amino acids or a mixture thereof at an arbitrary ratio, and (c) a mixture of peptides obtained by hydrolyzing animal protein, and being in the form of fine grains.

    摘要: Improved dehydrated marshmallow products and methods of forming the products are provided. Broadly, the products are formed from a mixture comprising sugar, water, and a protein or protein-containing ingredient other than gelatin. The protein is preferably present at a level of at least about 4% by weight, based upon the total weight of the mixture taken as 100% by weight. In one embodiment the products comprise additional ingredients such as flour or other fillers, chemical gassing compounds (e.g., sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate, and sodium aluminum phosphate), flavoring agents, coloring agents, and preservatives. The processes by which the marshmallows are formed comprise mixing the ingredients to yield a doughy mixture, forming the mixture into the desired shapes without starch application, and drying the shapes to yield the final expanded products which have a bulk density of less than about 23 lbs/ft3.
