    摘要: A key identification system is provided. The key identification system comprises an imaging system to capture an image of a master key, and a logic to analyze the captured image. The imaging system may be capture an image of a groove in the master key from an angle between perpendicular and parallel to the blade of said master key. The logic analyzes the captured image to compare characteristics of the groove with groove characteristics of known key blanks to determine the likelihood of a match between the master key and a known key blank. The key identification system may further compensate for displacement or orientation of the master key with respect to the imaging system when analyzing characteristics of the groove.

    摘要: An apparatus for force monitoring and control of a multi-axis router. The spindle assembly has a mounting plate that is attached to a base plate in the router assembly through three equally spaced load cells. The load cells are maintained in tension because the spindle assembly is suspended below the base plate. The center of gravity of the spindle assembly is in the center of the three load cells. Forces on the cutting tool are measured by the load cells, which are monitored by a controller that determines the load on the cutting tool. The feed rate of the cutting tool is adjusted based on the calculated cutting tool force. Abnormal conditions, such as an unbalanced or dull tool, are determined from the measured forces.

The invention provides a copying attachment comprising a template connected to the tool carriage for reciprocation therewith and having an arcuate edge portion, a roller mounted on the longitudinal carriage for rotation about an axis parallel to the axis about which the arcuate template edge portion is centered, a crank revolving the roller about a third axis parallel to, and spaced from, the said axes, and a hydraulic actuator connected to the tool carriage and including a head applying pressure to a side of the roller remote from the template edge portion, the actuator being operable to press the head into engagement with the remote roller side to force the roller towards the edge portion of the template.

    摘要: The apparatus disclosed herein comprises a base having first and second platforms rotatably mounted thereto. First and second rods are mounted in parallel upon the base. First and second wheels have circumferential edges shaped to mate with the rods and are received thereon, a shaft spanning between the wheels and being received within central apertures defined by the wheels. Cables are secured to the rods and extend about the circumferential edges of the respective wheels to permit the wheels to roll but not slide along the rods. A mounting bracket is mounted to the shaft and a mount rod is rotatably supported by the mounting bracket. A stylus is mounted to one end of the mount rod; a router is mounted to the other end of the mount rod. The stylus is positionable against an object located on the first platfortt and the router is correspondingly positionable against a work piece located on the second platform. By appropriate, corresponding rotation of the first and second platforms and movement of the stylus against the object, the router will produce a three-dimensional reproduction of the object from the work piece.

    摘要: A machine is disclosed for edge cutting relatively flat sheet material into pieces having any desired irregular configuration. An overhead radial arm supports a cutting tool in a fixed position in space and a lower work holding support is mounted for movement in a horizontal plane in a direction toward and away from the tool and for rotation about its axis, and holds the work preferably as by a vacuum applied to the underside of the work. By manipulating the work holder in simultaneous rotary motion about its own axis and reciprocatory motion toward and away from the tool, the work is moved relative to the cutting tool so as to cause the tool to cut along any non-symetrical or irregular contour as may be desired as well as symetrical shapes, and as controlled by a preformed template held by the work holder.
