    摘要: A vehicle includes a frame, an electric motor coupled to the frame and configured to selectively receive power from at least one battery pack and operable in a first operation mode and a second operation mode that is different from the first operation mode. A wheel assembly is coupled to the frame and driven by the motor. A control device is operable by a user to control operation of the vehicle. The control device is moveable between a first position relative to the frame corresponding to a riding configuration in which a user is able to operate the control device while seated on a seat on the frame, and a second position relative to the frame corresponding to a walking configuration in which a user is able to operate the control device while walking adjacent the vehicle. Movement of the control device from the second position to the first position triggers conversion from operation of the motor in the second operation mode to operation of the motor in the first operation mode. Movement of the control device from the first position to the second position triggers conversion from operation of the motor in the first operation mode to operation of the motor in the second operation mode.

The fingers have attached cleaning tools and engage, operate on, partly rotate around the circumference of the insulator, and disengage, as the vehicle passes by the insulator. The cleaning station can also ride on the contact rail and have moveable vertical members with cleaning tools attached to L-shaped tool holders that rotate around a portion of the circumference of the insulator. Cleaning tools include powered rotating, reciprocating, vibrating, oscillating and/or linear brushes, wrap-around cleaning belts, sonic horns, ultrasonic vibrating guns, lasers, pressure washing and/or water jetting nozzles on stationary, rotating or oscillating spray bars and spinning heads using steam, tap or deionized water, and pneumatic polishing nozzles.

    摘要: This invention provides an improved power supply which allows vehicles, such as rapid-transit railroads, to operate above a predetermined speed without using the conventional third rail and collector-shoe gear as the means of transmitting energy to the vehicle motor. A second propulsion means is provided which inductively couples an additional rail paralleling the main rail to the vehicle. The additional rail acts as the primary of a transformer mounted within the vehicle. At predetermined intervals along the right of way of the vehicle, converter circuits operated from within the vehicle, are physically located. These converters create a pulsating current in the additional rail which is sensed by the secondary of the transformer mounted in the vehicle. The secondary voltage is rectified and inverted to yet another higher frequency which in turn drives the vehicle motor.
