    摘要： A box packing apparatus supports a box with a sideways facing opening while at a loading location. After loading the box is moved from the loading location. The box packing apparatus includes a supporting and moving component, arms, and a feed mechanism. The supporting and moving component supports the cardboard box in the loading location and moves the cardboard box after loading in the loading location. The arms temporarily support the cardboard box as it is delivered to the loading location with the opening thereof facing sideways, while the supporting and moving component moves the cardboard box. The feed mechanism feeds the articles into the cardboard box through the opening while the box is supported by the arms.

    摘要： A packaging system (20) for forming and filling a transportable container (22) of plurality of bulk goods includes a frame (26) having a bottom support (48) and an upper support (32). An upper turntable (34) is rotatably supported within the upper support (32) and a lower turntable (50) is rotatably supported on the bottom support (48). A drive system (58) includes at least one pulley system (62, 64, 66) interconnected to the upper and lower turntables (34, 50) for simultaneously driving and synchronizing rotation of the upper and lower turntables (34, 50) with the at least one pulley system (62, 64, 66). A slip frame former (42) extends downwardly from the upper turntable (34) and a roll of stretch wrap (92) is disposed in overlapping relationship with the slip frame former (42) and the bottom support (48) during simultaneous and synchronized rotation of the turntables (34, 50) with the at least one pulley system (62, 64, 66).

    摘要： A container lifting arrangement wherein a pair of spaced rails and a vacuum cup assembly are concentrically mounted and relatively actuated to raise and lower a container, in part while the container is being conveyed toward a filling station by a conveyor. The vacuum cup is caused to engage the bottom surface of the container only after the container's forward movement has been stopped so as to not be subjected to any sliding action by the container, such action tending to roll the cup's edge and destroy its suction capabilities. Lifting the container before the conveyor stops provides additional time for filling the container.

    摘要： A universal floating guide apparatus for guiding a reciprocating slide member so that the slide member does not rotate. The guide apparatus may be employed in reciprocating slides which have linear motion and which are employed in coated paperboard carton packaging machines, such as in a carton loading device and a carton stripper device for loading a carton on a carton forming mandrel, and for stripping a carton off the mandrel, respectively. The floating guide apparatus includes a slide member which is linearly guided and provided with a bore in which is mounted an axially movable bushing that is cross bored. Slidably mounted through the bushing cross bore is a fixed guide rod. The guide rod also extends through enlarged bores formed through the slide member. The bushing is movable axially and radially to take up errors in parallelism between a drive rod carrying the slide member and the guide rod, and prevents rotation and binding of the slide member throughout its stroke or movement. The bushing may be provided with an elongated cross bore or slot to provide a three-dimensional universal floating guide apparatus.

    摘要： An apparatus for high speed filling of containers with product such as ice cream and the like. The apparatus includes a turret driven by power means for moving containers from a feed station to a fill station for filling of the container and then to a capping station for placing a cap on the container and finally to a removal station. A lift is provided to move the containers toward and away from a dispensing nozzle which dispenses product into the containers. Pneumatic control means are provided to cooperate with the lift and a shut-off valve in the dispensing nozzle for independent adjustment of the timing of the operations thereof.
