摘要： A keg (10) for a pressurized fluid is formed of a main body part (11), to respective open ends of which are secured upper and lower ends parts (14, 12), each of the three parts being an injection moulding of thermoplastics material and connected together by welding. Around an internal surface of the main body part (11) is an integral continuous planar flange (21) which serves to resits outwards pressure on the body when the keg is pressurized, in use, the flange defining a large central opening (22) in the interior of the keg. Ribs (25) are formed integrally with the internal body surface and flange, and extend around the flange between respective pairs of first openings (23) through the flange, smaller second openings (24) being aligned with, and disposed at the inner end of the respective ribs.

摘要： A composite double-wall underground tank comprises an internal rotatable metal mandrel tank frame structure surmounted by two individual concentric corrugated cylindrical nonmetallic pressure vessels having hemispherical ends. The metal tank frame structure provides the buckling resistance and compression strength to resist soil loads when the tank is buried. The pressure vessels are made of identical materials and include an internal primary container enclosed by an external secondary container of equal tensile strength and corrosion-resistance. The composite double-wall underground tank is a substantial improvement over conventional steel and fiberglass tanks, and provides a more reliable method of protecting the environment by preventing the release of contaminating hazardous liquids stored in the tank. Each of the two pressure vessels is made from a multiple ply composite laminate having a unique arrangement of fabrics containing filament reinforcements impregnated with a thermosetting polymeric matrix. The hemispherical ends have sealable axle access openings. The top tank fitting outlets include non-corrugated portions of the cylindrical laminate structures bonded together and sandwiched between bolted metal plates that are structurally connected to the tank frame and sealed with an overlapping laminate structure.

摘要： A fluid receptacle is provided with a retainer on the inner surface thereof for confining at least the reactive portion of a coated insert matrix within the receptacle during inversion thereof. The insert has a configuration permitting fluid to be poured into the receptacle and decanted from the receptacle by inversion of the receptacle with the reactive portion of the insert confined therein. The various decanting, washing and measuring operations involved in an assay may therefore be performed while the insert remains confined within the original receptacle, eliminating the need for additional receptacles and for manual assembly or disassembly operations during the assay.

摘要： A generator for obtaining radioactive gallium-68 from germanium-68 bound in a resin containing unsubstituted phenolic hydroxyl groups. The germanium-68 is loaded into the resin from an aqueous solution of the germanium-68. A physiologically acceptable solution of gallium-68 having an activity of 0.1 to 50 millicuries per milliliter of gallium-68 solution is obtained. The solution is obtained from the bound germanium-68 which forms gallium-68 in situ by eluting the column with a hydrochloric acid solution to form an acidic solution of gallium-68. The acidic solution of gallium-68 can be neutralized.

A plurality of return portions are connected between the base section and the upper section and are adapted for communicating the liquid between the internal chambers of the upper and base sections.

A plurality of side walls are arranged between and detachably engage the respective adjacent supports. The supports are selectively movable in the longitudinal direction thereof away from the bottom for removing the supports from the platform. In the region of the feet, rigid stops are associated with the platform for securing the lower portion of the side walls against inward movements.

摘要： A tool box constructed of sheetlike metal includes a lower compartment which is the major containing part and within which the tools and other materials are received, and a cover which pivotally is received thereon. The upper edges of the lower compartment are formed into a rolled edge which both adds strength to the wall and provides safety against accidental cutting or other injury to the user. In fabrication, the lower compartment is formed from two sheetlike members, the first member having what will be its upper edges rolled into a generally cylindrical form and then the member is shaped to provide a front panel and two end panels. The second member is formed by bending a rectangular sheet into an L-shape, providing the bottom and rear walls for the containing part of the chest. The rear wall of the lower chamber has its upper edge rolled with a substantial gap provided which is received onto a similarly rolled edge of the cover to provide a pivotal hinge for the cover.
