    摘要: A process is provided for the recovery of vanadium and nickel values from petroleum residues and, in particular, from Flexicoke. In the process, Flexicoke is blended with an alkali metal source, such as sodium sulfate or sodium carbonate, and then roasted in an oxygen-containing gas until carbon is removed and a fused mixture is obtained. Thereafter, the vanadium is leached from the mixture with an aqueous solution, and nickel is contained in solids remaining from the leaching.

    摘要: A method is provided for inhibiting the formation of silica scale on flash-pot surfaces during the multi-stage flashing of sulfuric acid pressure-leach slurry obtained following the continuous autoclave leaching of nickel lateritic ore at elevated temperature and pressure during which silica is dissolved, wherein the leach slurry is subjected to a high-temperature flash stage such that the slurry at the flash temperature is supersaturated in soluble silica, and wherein the slurry is thereafter subjected to at least one additional flash at an intermediate-temperature flash stage at which silica precipitates and tends to form a scale accompanied by a decrease in said supersaturation. The improvement resides in recycling a substantial portion of the slurry to the intermediate-temperature stage following flashing to the intermediate-temperature flash stage, the portion recycled being sufficient to effect a dilution in silica concentration of the slurry being flashed into the intermediate-temperature flash stage from the high-temperature stage, and continuing the recycling of flashed slurry to the intermediate-temperature flash stage, whereby silica scale formation at the intermediate-temperature flash stage is greatly inhibited. The pH of the recycling stream may be adjusted to further minimize silica deposition.

    摘要: Disclosed is a hollow sulfide microsphere with enriched sulfur vacancies, which is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: dissolving cobalt nitrate and nickel nitrate in a mixed solution of N, N-dimethylformamide and acetone with an equal volume; then adding a chelating agent thereto, subjecting a resulting mixture to a solvothermal reaction to obtain a coordination polymer microsphere; dissolving the coordination polymer microsphere and a sulfurization agent in an organic solvent, and reacting to obtain a hollow sulfide microsphere; and subjecting the hollow sulfide microsphere to reduction treatment with sodium borohydride, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain the hollow sulfide microsphere with enriched sulfur vacancies having a particle size of 1-2.5 μm, a shell thickness of 15-30 nm and a specific capacity of the material of 763.4 C g−1 (current density is 1 A g−1).

    摘要: A process for the recovery of uranium values from uranium-containing material which also contains iron, arsenic and siliceous matter, includes leaching the uranium-containing material in aqueous sulphuric acid solution under conditions to provide dissolved iron present in the resultant leach solution as predominantly ferrous iron rather than ferric iron and/or to provide a sulphuric acid concentration in the leach solution sufficiently high to substantially prevent the precipitation of arsenates. Uranium values are recovered from the leach solution by solvent extraction agent which has little affinity for arsenic.
