The invention relates to compositions and methods for reducing food deposit adhesion to cookware. More specifically this invention relates to a resin composition having a glass transition temperature of at least 180° C. containing an amount of at least one fluorinated compounds, optionally also containing at least one additive selected from fatty acid esters, fatty acid amide, anionic surfactant, or a mixture containing at least one of the foregoing, to reduce food deposit adhesion on cookware made from the composition. The invention also relates to a method for providing plastic cookware having reduced food deposit adhesion.

One aspect of the invention is directed to a rubber composition which includes at least one sulfur-vulcanizable elastomer containing olefinic unsaturation, a first processing aid, and a second processing aid of the formula: wherein each of R1 and R2 independently is selected from the group consisting of alkyls having from 12 to 24 carbon atoms, and alkenyls having from 12 to 24 carbon atoms. The elastomer is present in an amount of 100 parts by weight. Also, the first processing aid may be present in an amount of 0 to 20 phr, and the second processing aid may be present in an amount of 0.2 to 20 phr. Another aspect of the invention is directed to a method of making the rubber composition described immediately above, with the method including the step of mixing the elastomer, first processing aid, and second processing aid. The rubber composition and method not only allow for rapid addition of fillers and other ingredients with lower power consumption, but also provide a faster cure rate, as well as improved tear resistance in the finished product.

A substantially water-free, water-washable, energy-curable composition includes an epoxy oligomer and/or urethane oligomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated moieties, at least one alkoxylated polyol monomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated moieties and capable of being copolymerized with the oligomer, and a sugar surfactant capable of rendering the uncured composition dispersible in water. Optionally, the composition can contain a photoinitiator. The composition is self-dispersible in water and is especially suitable for use as a coating material for a printing screen.
