Abstract:
A varifocal lens structure, a method of manufacturing the varifocal lens structure, an optical lens module, and a method of manufacturing the optical lens module. The varifocal lens structure includes a liquid lens unit including a silicone membrane that includes a first silicone elastomer, a polymer actuator disposed on an upper surface of the silicone membrane, and an adhesive silicone layer that is disposed between the silicone membrane and the polymer actuator and includes a second silicone elastomer.
Abstract:
A pattern article comprising a copolymer having polymerized units derived from a cleavable crosslinking monomer, to which a pattern is imparted by the release of incipient acid from a thermal acid generator or photoacid generator. The selective release of the acid provides a pattern of high crosslink density and low crosslink density as result of the incipient acid cleaving a portion of the crosslinks.
Abstract:
The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition comprising a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer component which allows slight bleedout of a liquid compound to occur to the cured product surface and shows good adhesiveness and water-resistant adhesiveness using an amine compound as a non-organotin catalyst. The present invention relates to a curable composition which comprises:(A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group capable of crosslinking by siloxane bond formation, (B) a silanol condensation catalyst, and (C) an adhesion promoter, and that the silanol condensation catalyst (B) is an amine compound (B-1) having a melting point lower than 23° C., and that the adhesion promoter (C) comprises an amino group-containing silane coupling agent (C-1) and an epoxy group-containing silane coupling agent (C-2) in a specific proportion.

Abstract:
A curable composition comprising (A) a polyfluorodialkenyl compound having at least two alkenyl radicals, (B) a fluorinated organohydrogensiloxane having at least two Si—H radicals, (C) a platinum group compound, (D) a hydrophobic silica powder, and (E) an organosiloxane having a Si—H radical and a trialkyl or trialkoxy-containing organic radical attached to a silicon atom cures into a product having improved solvent resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature properties, low moisture permeability and electric properties and exhibiting good adhesion to a variety of substrates including metals and plastics by brief heating at relatively low temperatures.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide apparel products having boronate adhesives. The apparel products include a major component forming a base portion of the apparel product. The major component is configured to be supported and worn at least partially over a portion of a wearer. The apparel product includes a minor component forming a secondary portion configured to be coupled to the major component. An adhesive is disposed at least partially between a portion of the major component and a portion of the minor component. The adhesive includes a boronate ester bond.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic composition is disclosed that includes a thermoplastic polymer and volatile organic compound sorbent particles, and that exhibits a viscosity of no greater than 15,000 centipoise at 177° C.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide methods of disassembling an apparel product. The methods include exposing an adhesive of the apparel product to a composition having an acidic pH. The adhesive is disposed at least partially between a major component and a minor component of the apparel product. The adhesive includes a material having a boronate ester bond. The major component forms a base portion of the apparel product and is configured to be supported and worn at least partially over a portion of a wearer. The minor component forms a secondary portion configured to be coupled to the major component with the adhesive. The methods include separating the major component from the minor component adjoined by the adhesive.
