摘要: A low sulfur marine distillate fuel trunk piston diesel engine lubricating oil composition comprising (a) a major amount of a Group I base oil or a Group II base oil or mixtures thereof; (b) at least one or more detergents comprising at least one overbased salt of an alkyl-substituted hydroxybenzoic acid; and (c) a succinimide dispersant derived from polyalkylene having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 1400-3000; wherein the succinimide dispersant is present at greater than 1.20 wt. % on an actives basis; and the TBN of the composition is less than 30 mg KOH/g.

摘要: Provided is a lubricating oil composition capable of revealing fuel consumption reducing properties due to a friction reducing effect within a short period of time while having excellent fuel consumption reducing properties, specifically a lubricating oil composition of the present invention includes a base oil, a molybdenum dithiocarbamate, a calcium detergent, a magnesium detergent, and a boron-free succinimide, wherein the content of the molybdenum dithiocarbamate as converted into a molybdenum atom is 1,200 ppm by mass or less on a basis of the whole amount of the composition; the content of the boron-free succinimide as converted into a nitrogen atom is less than 1,200 ppm by mass on a basis of the whole amount of the composition; and a mass ratio of the molybdenum atom (Mo) to a magnesium atom (Mg) of the magnesium detergent [Mo/Mg] is 0.1 or more.

摘要: An axle oil composition having enhanced fuel efficiency and low viscosity is provided, wherein the axle oil composition contains 40 to 70 wt % of poly alpha olefin (PAO) synthetic oil; 5 to 35 wt % of an oil soluble poly alkylene glycol (OSP) synthetic oil; 15 to 20 wt % of an ester-based viscosity modifier; 0.05 to 0.5 wt % of calcite; and 5 to 20 wt % of additive, wherein the axle oil composition having enhanced fuel efficiency and low viscosity has average kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 11.5 to 13.5 cSt and average kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 65 to 75 cSt and forms an oil film having a thickness of 85 to 96 nm even at low viscosity, largely improving durability and fuel efficiency of a vehicle.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine comprising supplying to the engine a lubricating composition comprising: an oil of lubricating viscosity, 2.3 wt % to 4 wt % of a dispersant package, wherein the dispersant package comprises: a borated succinimide dispersant obtainable by an “ene” reaction of a polyalkylene with an acylating agent to form an intermediate, reacting the intermediate with an aminoalcohol or amine to form a dispersant, and reacting the dispersant with a borating agent to form a borated succinimide dispersant; and a non-borated succinimide dispersant obtained by a “Diels-Alder” reaction. The ratio of non-borated succinimide dispersant to borated succinimide dispersant is 90:10 to 20:80, and the borated succinimide has 0.2 wt % to 1.3 wt % boron on an oil-free basis of the dispersant.
