    摘要: A method of construction is provided in which a casing or assemblage of casings which can be handled as a unit is partly immersed in water to a controlled variable depth and used to mould a self-hardenable material such as freshly mixed concrete to form a required shape while isolating it from the surrounding water. Throughout ths stage of construction hydrostatic pressure exerted by the water on the casing or casing assemblage acts in opposition to pressure exerted by the self-hardenable material or by a temporary substitute therefor, (e.g. a bontonite slurry) together with any other forces or pressures that may act. This enables casings to be used which otherwise and for construction in a dry environment would require substantial or extensive support from falsework in order to prevent fracture or undesirable deformation thereof.

    摘要: An artificial island located on the high sea is formed of a support structure and a platform mounted on the upper end of the support structure. During erection, the support structure, not completed for its full height, is moved into position and founded on the ocean floor. The platform is floated into position and mounted on the upper end of the support structure. The height of the support structure is then extended until the final height is reached. During the completion of the upper end of the support structure, the platform is lifted so that it remains on top of the support structure. A housing is provided around the upper end of the support structure so that it can be sealed from the environment for completing the construction of the upper end of the support structure.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process of casting of repairing concrete under water whereby the concrete (mortar) to be cast to a minimum extent contacts water and leaching of the binding agent is prevented. The purpose of the process according to the invention is achieved such that a "plug" of liquid organic material based on a reactive or non-reactive synthetic resin or other organic carrier having a suitable viscosity, good cohesion and poor water solubility and with a specific gravity higher than water, but less than cement-based concrete, is introduced into the bottom of a tight formwork to contact a support cement-based concrete having a good flowability is then introduced below the surface level of the plug, the introduction initially being effected in the very plug.The use of a "plug" of such type, which in contact with the concrete (mortar) to be cast and the support constitutes a phase of its own and for which the affinity can be adjusted according to the actual case, affords the possibility that the adherence to the support of the concrete to be cast can even be increased to an extent that portions of the plug which will cling to the support, preferably in connection with curing of the plug material, in a specific embodiment of the process according to the present invention will act as an effective adhesive.

    摘要: For the installation of an anchor member at a location below a water level through a retaining wall into a soil formation for supporting the wall, a drill mount is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis on a retaining member secured to the wall. The drill mount can be pivoted between a drilling position inclined downwardly toward the wall and an upwardly extending loading position where the drill mount is accessible above the water level. A cable line secured to the drill mount pivots it between the drilling and loading positions. A drilling machine is displaceable on a sliding carriage along the drill mount. A drilling tool inserted into the drilling machine is used to drill an opening through the wall. Subsequently the drilling tool is replaced by a borehole pipe and the pipe is driven through the wall opening into the soil formation. With the borehole pipe inserted, an anchor member can be placed into the pipe and by withdrawing the pipe and grouting around the anchor member at the same time, the installation of the anchor member can be completed.
