摘要: A hot water circulation system comprises a water heater having a cold-water inlet and a hot water outlet. A water pump circulates water through the water heater to produce hot water. The hot water is circulated to a thermal bypass valve, which is configured to close when hot water contacts a heat activated seal. A bypass circuit is coupled between the hot water outlet and the cold water inlet of the water heater. The bypass circuit prevents hot water from circulating from the hot water outlet to the cold-water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is open and promotes circulating hot water from the hot water outlet to the cold water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is closed. Upon a temperature sensor sensing hot water entering the cold-water inlet, the water heater turns of the water pump.

摘要: The disclosed technology includes an on-demand water heater which uses an electric heat source to heat the water. The on-demand water heater can have a low fluid capacity heating chamber which has an inlet and an outlet, an electric heat source for heating the water, and a controller to control the electric heat source and maintain the temperature of the water at a predetermined temperature setting. The on-demand water heater can be powered by a direct current power source. The on-demand water heater can also utilize a solar thermal system to provide additional heat to the water.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system that allows the temperature of water inlet and outlet tubes in a water cylinder to be measured, making it possible to estimate the energy stored in the device and to estimate the times when the hot water is being used, in addition to allowing user behaviour to be predicted, anomalies in the hot water to be detected, and the power consumption of the device to be optimised. The device comprises: a water cylinder controller (100) disposed on the case; two thermocouple cables (300) for measuring the water inlet and outlet temperature in the cylinder; and an antenna (200) coupled to an antenna connector (12) in order to connect the controller (100) to another server or to the cloud, where the information is processed.

摘要: In a hot water supply apparatus including a heat exchanger to which water heated by renewable energy or waste heat from other heat sources is supplied, a controller performs an intermittent combustion control in which combustion and combustion stoppage in a burner are repeated as a condition in which a water supply temperature exceeds a predetermined upper limit of the water supply temperature. In the intermittent combustion control, a combustion fan is caused to operate during the combustion and to at least temporarily, preferably always, operate during the combustion stoppage.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed towards systems and methods for regulating a water heater via a thermostat. The thermostat comprises a receiver configured to receive one or more inputs from one or more sensors configured to monitor, for a predefined duration of time, usage pattern of the water heater. Further, the thermostat comprises a controller configured to determine, via a machine learning neural network, a scheduling pattern for hot water based on the monitored usage pattern. The controller is further configured to operate the water heater based on the scheduling pattern.

摘要: Various implementations include a water heater system. The system includes a variable speed pump. The variable speed pump has having an inlet and an outlet. The system includes a heat exchanger, having an inlet and an outlet. The heat exchanger outlet is fluidically connected to the variable speed pump inlet. The system includes an output temperature sensor disposed downstream of the heat exchanger outlet. The system includes a controller configured to receive a first temperature reading from the output temperature sensor. The controller is configured to control operation of the variable speed pump to adjust an output flow rate in response to the first temperature reading. The controller is further configured to receive a second temperature reading from a recovery temperature sensor on a storage tank. The controller is configured to turn off the variable speed pump upon a determination that the second temperature reading has reached a maximum temperature.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for adaptive flow across multiple water heaters. The system may include a plurality of water heaters provided in a cascaded arrangement, with each of the water heaters including a valve. The valves may be, for example, motorized isolation valves that may be automatically closed and/or opened by one or more controllers associated with the water heaters. This may allow for the system to automatically regulate the flow rate through each of the water heaters to provide for optimal usage of the cascaded water heaters. For example, if it is determined by the one or more controllers (based on sensor data from the water heaters) that a flow rate has decreased below a threshold value for a giving water heater firing rate, one or more valves may be closed such that fewer water heaters are used and the flow rate is increased.
