    Abstract: An orthosis brace includes: a brace suitable for being worn on a patient's foot; a dedicated electronic device applied on the brace; a software platform on the Internet; a smart device held by the patient and provided with an app to access the software platform; and a smart device held by the therapist and provided with an app to access the software platform. The dedicated electronic device has a motion sensor array composed of an IMU suitable for detecting the motion of the brace, a control unit suitable for processing the data from said IMU to detect a removal of the brace, and a wireless telecommunication module suitable for sending the data processed by the dedicated electronic device to the software platform.

    Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a device and technique for impact detection includes a housing, switch circuitry having an omega-shaped switch element, and a mass member movable within the housing from a first position to a second position in response to receipt by the housing of an acceleration event. Movement of the mass member to the second position causes the mass member to move the switch element to change a state of a circuit condition of the switch circuitry, and the change of the state of the switch circuitry indicates receipt of the acceleration event.

    Abstract: A device for monitoring and alerting for contact of an object with a line strung between two upright posts includes a housing having a body and a mounting portion extending from the body. A mount is positioned in the mounting portion. A camera a is positioned on the mounting portion for downward viewing of the line. A processor is positioned in the housing and an accelerometer is position in the housing in operable communication with the processor. The device includes a power supply operably connected to the processor. When the device is positioned on the line and the accelerometer senses movement of the device, the accelerometer generates and transmits a signal to the processor. The processor analyses the signal to determine whether the signal meets a threshold and, if the threshold is met, the processor generates and transmits an alarm signal to a receiving device.

    Abstract: A method for operating an infrastructure sensor system, wherein the infrastructure sensor system comprises a plurality of networked infrastructure sensors arranged on a shared mounting device. First, data are transmitted to a sway estimation module by at least one of the infrastructure sensors, wherein the data comprise at least pre-processed data, for example environmental information and/or current measurement data, in particular raw data, detected by the respective infrastructure sensor. The transmitted data are further processed in the next step and the sway estimation module determines therefrom a motion function for the mounting device. Based on the motion function, correction information, for example for at least one of the infrastructure sensors, is now determined by the sway estimation module. The correction information and/or motion function can now be provided for further use, for example, to the respective infrastructure sensors or to a central computing unit.
