    摘要: A capacitor connection structure of a power conversion device, includes a capacitor having a capacitor end face from which a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal protrudes that is deformed outward into a convex shape when the fuse is blown, a positive electrode-side main conductor and a negative electrode-side main conductor that are formed by a thick plate and that are connected to another electronic component at positions facing the capacitor end face; a positive electrode-side intermediate conductor that connects the positive electrode terminal to the positive electrode-side main conductor; and a negative electrode-side intermediate conductor that connects the negative electrode terminal to the negative electrode-side main conductor. When the capacitor end face is deformed into the convex shape, the positive electrode-side intermediate conductor and the negative electrode-side intermediate conductor are deformed along with inclination of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal.

    摘要: A capacitor bank monitor apparatus for monitoring a state of a common ground connected to a capacitor bank comprises a sensor that that can be coupled to the common ground for collecting measurements relating to the state of the common ground. The monitor also comprises a controller that is logically coupled to the sensor for receiving the measurements and determining whether a fuse on the capacitor bank has opened. The ground monitor also comprises a communications facility that is logically coupled to the controller for communicating a notification that the fuse has opened. The communications facility may comprise a cellular communications device. The ground monitor also may comprise a filter that is electrically connected to the sensor and the controller. The ground monitor also may comprise memory that is logically coupled to the controller for storing at least one state of the common ground.

    摘要: A fuse for a solid electrolyte capacitor is made of two exothermically alloyable metals such as aluminum and palladium. The fuse has a series electrical connection with and a thermal connection to the capacitor body. A defective and overheated capacitor section results in abnormally high currents so that the fuse temperature is elevated by ohmic self-heating and/or by the flow of heat from the overheated body. When the alloying temperature of the fuse is reached, the temperature of the alloying fuse momentarily becomes very high and opens essentially along its entire length.

    摘要: An oil filled capacitor has an exothermically alloyable fuse strand within the closed housing that is filled with a dielectric oil. A circuit interruptor means is included within the housing that interrupts a capacitor section to housing terminal connection either in response to overpressure or to overtemperature within the housing, or both. The fuse strand is part of that connection and a portion of the fuse is located at the predetermined point of potential interruption so that any arcing that occurs across the gap of the opened connection will kindle the fuse which in turn will be completely obliterated and quench the arc.
